Best 23 minutes I've spent on a vid in a while. These ships do get around, the first shown was off the southern tip of India on the day the vid was posted.

Honestly, you have such great and fun hobby to do, shipspotting and planespotting are kinda my thing. And TBH how do you get the ship's information, do you use an app? Because I have one but it requires me to purchase the premium lol

Thanks:-) Before I was using marine traffic and fleetmon, but now no more usable because they change everything, need to pay so much >240€. So I delete my account. Now I am using vesselfinder premium 85€\year thats OK for me. The free version of vesselfinder has already a lot of data, but I need more. For airplanes flightradar24 silver 28€/year, that's fair prices Greetings

What lens for photography would you use at the canal, will 50 mm be to tight or will i have to go lower such as a 15-30 lens mm ish for getting the whole ship in frame, planning a trip this summer, i have from 50mm lenses and up, but not sure if 50mm is to narrow at the canal?

The 11 meter deep Kiel Canal can be used by ships up to 235 m long and 32.5 m wide. With these maximum dimensions, the permissible draft is 7.0 m. The maximum possible draft of 9.5 m for a canal passage can be accommodated by ships up to 160 m long and 27 m wide
