Nicolas Flamel! Elder Wand! Sexy Dumbledore! I could not be more in. Also, 20 points to Gryffindor for catching both the Elder Wand and Flamel! The only reactors I've seen do it thus far!

Agreed about Depp. I'm definitely one of those people who would rather Colin Farrell be Grindelwald but the little snippet where he's speaking to the audience and says 'no longer'... made me warm to him for some reason.

It needs 5 films, Dumbeldore doesn't take on Grindelwald until 1945 according to the lore. So the films may slowly move forward to that time period.

Dumbledore was the Transfiguration teacher in the books before he became Headmaster. Maybe he is the DADA teacher here or he substitutes for someone else.

Totally agree about your opinion on the vist Fantastic Beasts movie however I feel like that movie was more to introduce us to the characters before bringing in the heavy stuff. lol

canchaser2 That's exactly what it was. It was also about the excitement of bringing the wizarding world to a new place. This time, we're excited It's in Paris, but the initial "It's not just in England!" Feeling is over. Now comes the dark and heavy.

Well the last one dealt with heavy stuff just not on the scale of like... the last few Harry Potter films. I mean personally watching people die a brutal death was a pretty good intro for the series imo.

Just some Fantastic Beasts 411 for you guys. JK Rowling wrote the last movie herself, she's wrote thisMovie and she will write all the other three that are on the way. She said in an interview that ever since she wrote Harry Potter, she was very interested in Newt and that THIS series was the the story she wanted to write. She did confirm publicly, on a panel with the director and the actors last year, that they did think it would be a trilogy but after she did the plot line properly it was going to be 5 movies. So I think the final confrontation between Dumbledore and Grindelwald will be movie 5. The first movie layer out the groundwork, the world and the overall characters, just like Potter 1 did, now it's movie 2 and we can start to dive in and get serious.

Carli Rivera on one hand I really hope that’s not the case. I can’t wait several years for the series to be completed. On the other hand, the masterpiece that was the original 8 movies was for sure worth the wait. Dumbledore be Grindelwald better be like... Dumbledore vs Voldemort on steroids if they make me wait that long xD

Well whether or nor you want to wait years for all 5 movies to come out, you will have to like all of us! lol I think it will be like Dubledore vs Voldemort on steroids because this is PERSONAL between Dumbleore and Grindelwald. THey have a dark horrible history and add to that their romantic past, it just adds more fuel to the fire… It's gonna be good!

He doesn't look a day older than 375 👌 , I had the same damn freak out the second he said am an alchemist and therefore immortal and it continued all the way to nicholas flamel I never had that same Reaction to anything before and I agree 100% last one was a 👎 for me , but they pulled this off I might actually be a fan , am going to watch either way after that big end reveal , brilliant Reaction you guys.

Thing is..with his choice of joining the movie and the biggie smalls movie. I think Depp is focusing more on his roles again. I love his recent work..I'm a fan but even I can tell he is kinda..doing interesting work now.

I honestly did a collective sigh in the first when Johnny appeared b/c I absolutely loved Colin Farrell, so I was bummed that he most likely wouldn't return b/c he was my fav part of the first film. I am so excited, this looks amazing, the first one was okay, I liked but didn't loved.Adam's reaction to N.F. was mine too!!

Farrell did great job in the first one, but he's an actor with limits. I understand why they decided to give titular character to such a great actor like Depp who has shown before how menacing he can be with the right material.

I think everyone’s too used to his light hearted comedies they forget how dark he can be. Depp has incredible range and u fortunately Colin Farrell just can’t deliver that same fierceness that Depp can. At least for me. In my opinion, this character is right down Depps lane.

I love your guys' reaction. But if you will allow me to fill you in on a few things. It was not the "philosophers' Stone that Nicolas Flamel had, but the Sorcerers' Stone! That is going all the way back to "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone." Another item that was in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers' Stone" was the Mirror of Erised. (And in case it hasn't been noted, "Erised" is "desire" spelled backwards.) Harry Potter looked into the mirror in the first Harry Potter film and saw the thing he most desired, which was his parents. Now Dumbledore is looking into the mirror and seeing what he most desires, which is Grindelwald! Amazing isn't it!? This film looks absolutely PHENOMENAL! And I can't wait to see it!!!

I've read most of the books and seen the movies but I'll admit I'm not a big Harry Potter fan. So I went into the first Fantastic Beasts not really expecting much and I ended up loving it. So I'm very much looking forward to this.

Not sure where the idea that the last film wasn’t “adult” came from. Watching people die brutally isn’t enough for you? If anything my biggest complaint was the lack of battles like the one we were introduced to with Dumbledore Vs Voldemort. But not adult enough? I found the dark touch to be enough. This one looks to be even better.

So why are you watching the trailer? Were you checking to see if he was in it?... You could have checked the cast on google for that.
