John, so down on Abbey Road....sings backup like a songbird on this song (and the whole record, for that matter!) One of the many mysteries of the Beatles...

You know, this track has been added to the new remaster / remix of The Beatles: Blue 1967-1970 compilation, which also closes with the new "Now And Then" track! 🙂

My favorite Paul song has been "Get Back" since I was three years old, back in 1971. I hope one day you'll check it out. This one though, never fails to give me chills. For another trippy gem, you still gotta get to "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds."

No one sells it like McCartney.... so much talent at everything. And with the Beatles, even some of their lesser-known songs can be spectacular.

This song is so great. I love this tune. When I was a kid with my first heartbreak, I would sing this song and think my life was over because of puppy love. This song always makes me cry because it takes me to my first love. Just blew my nose because I was crying. Still love ya Lisa. And yes, we are still friends.

Almost 50 years later, the Beatles surprise us all and just went number 1 on the UK charts these past couple of days with their last new release "Now and Then". Was sure that one would be done since it is so fresh.

Paul & Ringo both are left-handed (thank God). One of a few reasons they play with their own style.

Believe it or not, John played the main distorted guitar on his Epiphone Casino electric guitar and George Harrison was on bass instead of Paul. McCartney also played the piano on this 6/4 masterpiece. Paul didn't accept the first bunch of vocal takes over a period of about two weeks, they say, because he needed to rough up his voice so he could sing it more aggressively soulful. Now that's a mark of true dedication. You 'guys' are right about your impression of this song which is just one of my many favorite Beatles songs!

This is from the great Abbey Road, my personal favorite album of all time. It's an album that you must listen to in its entirety. Every song systematically placed to take you on a beautiful journey. This song in particular just reaches to my soul. The backing vocals, Ringos drums and Paul just belting it out makes for an absolutely perfect song! Great reaction guys! Ive waited a while for this one.

There's stuff like Rain and all that, but I reckon Ringo usually did his best work on Paul songs. Benefits of the songs being written by a member of the rhythm section i guess.

You're not alone. It's been my favorite album since I first heard it all the way through in 1975 (as a 12 year old.) Every year I've looked for a better one but never found it....

This proves Paul's versatility. He can do a heavy rocker like Helter Skelter, a bluesy raw song like Oh Darling and also quiet ballads like I Will and Yesterday. The man can do it all. My Paul story started in 1964 when I fell in love with him when I saw him on TV when I was 13, and still going strong, even through his solo years, having seen him 10 times in concert. He is a genius, fantastic singer & songwriter. 💖

My second favorite Beatles album. Revolver being no. 1 for me. Rubber soul 3, Sgt. Pepper 4, A Hard Days Night 5. Magical Mystery Tour would be up there but it’s more like a compilation album, not really an official Beatles album.

I became a studio drummer because of Ringo. People who aren't musically inclined like to say that he got lucky being in The Beatles. Yeah? Listen to that snare work at 2:28, when he does 32nd beats on that snare, which is hard enough! But pay attention to how he's accenting certain beats to the point where he swings those 32nd beats. Think he got lucky? Think he couldn't do that again? Listen at 5:20. He does it again. And this is just one example. Ringo was a monster drummer back in the day.

When you consider that the band "The Beatles" held the Title of most records sold at 600 million, had 20 #1 Hits on the Billboard Too 100 Chart, releasing in 1968, the "Sgt Pepper's" album which was #1 for 23 straight weeks, it's hard to believe that they were only recording from January 1962 until December 31,1970. So many amazing songs.....
