I LOVED The Blacktongue Thief, so this chat you had with Christopher was such a treat! Thank you for sharing. I'm so glad to hear that he's working on the second one & that's he keeping it from Kinch's point of view. I can't wait to listen to it!

Just finished second hearing of Blacktongue Thief, and wanted to hear Buehlman talk about what he talked about - so delighted that it’s planned to be a trilogy. First person. Fabulous.

Yes, I am a few chapters in with the audiobook for the Blacktongue Thief and have The Lesser Dead on deck. I plan on viewing your backlog of videos too and to tell others about your channel! I found you by searching for Buehlman. I am not a writer but recently discovered that fantasy novels give me great joy!

Stephen you have the greatest voice ! You sound like Alan Rickman. I hope you decide to narrate audiobooks going forward ! I just discovered Christopher Buehlman and loved Between Two Fires! omg what a page turner!

Thank you. Most people think I sound like Neil Gaiman 😆 The Blacktongue Thief is an excellent book and the prequel is coming out next summer so there's still time to read it!

I'm currently reading and listening to this book. I found this video because I wanted to hear Christopher talk in his regular voice. His voice acting is top notch. Really great interview as well.

Same! STUNNED that he's not a native Irishman, his accent on the audiobook is flawless and makes for a wonderful listen. The rare book I want to listen to more than read, cannot WAIT for more!

Hard agree that fantasy is a playing field for loads of different types of stories as long as there are some expectations met!

I'm not a fan of thief fiction, but, with the way in which the book is described, it certainly sounds interesting. I might have to purchase it and see for myself.

@@StephenAryan44 Hmmm. Are you being subjective, or objective? In my experience, an objective opinion is better advice. I'm sure you know how disappointing it can be to follow a recommendation that turns out to be subjective in nature.

@@adamhenrysears3288 Quite hard to be objective about art people will always have different tastes. But personally I found his writing very interesting compared to other generic fantasy. If you’re not into thief fiction I would suggest another of his books Between Two Fires. It’s a medieval horror with religious themes, a very unique story.
