Faouzia es sorprendente! Ella nació en Marruecos y vive en Canadá! Su potencia vocal es sorprendente, debido a sus raíces ella tiene unos matices árabes en su voz( runs, y vibrato), sólo tiene 20 años, habla Árabe, Inglés y Francés, y toca el piano, violín y guitarra😍😍

Yes, she tells a story in her singing because she writes or co-writes most of her songs. You can pick any of her performances, including instrumentals (plays violin, among other instruments) and be impressed, but her mini concert accompanied only by piano at the Burton Cummings center in Winnipeg is solid gold. Don't miss the last song, Elon, which comes after the concert proper, in that video. She is the real deal.

My favorite new female artist. Amazing voice and so very different. All her songs are fantastic. Please always do Stripped versions, they’re so much better than the videos.

I don't know what I loved more, Faouzia's incredible voice (I've been listening to this song on repeat all day) or your genuine reaction to it. And I think everyone who hears this talented singer for the first time asks themselves the question "WHYYYYYYYYYYY haven't I heard from this artist before???"

I'm not an expert but she amazes me too , you know , besides her great skills , her lyrics are so touching , you feel related to her songs , and also the way she sings them and deliver different emotions like you said telling a story , i really recommend you to check her songs especially stripped versions , and I know very well you are already planning to do so She has a lot of songs and she writes all of them , maybe just 1 or two of them she was a co-writer if im not mistaken , check : How it all works out(stripped) Bad dreams(stripped) You don't even know me(stripped)... I really recommend checking the videos before the concert ones if you wanted to see them as well And yeah thanks for the translation, im from morocco and so are my neighbour haha , maybe i will learn Spanish someday ^^

She was born in Morocco, moved to Canada at an early age. Plays multiple instruments including piano, guitar and violin. Speaks three languages. And on a side note is studying for her engineering degree

Cómo puede tener tan pocos likes!! Si esta chica FAOUZIA es una maravilla con esos matices árabes que tiene que me encantan!! Su potencia vocal es una maravilla!! Cuando vi tu reacción a FAOUZIA ya había visto el videoclip de ésta canción Ceci y otro videoclip cantado con otro chico jo ahora se me olvidó el nombre del chico!! The staccato true singing seems to be adapted from Caribbean dancehall style which all Canadians hear very regularly on CBC radio mostly from Toronto club artists. If you listen to 1990s Toronto artists like Snow ("Informer") you can hear the influence. Also listen to Jessie Reyes esp on "Headlines" by Drake, both the song and her performance show Caribbean influences.

Some of the quick breathy intonations reminded me of the Inuit songs I've seen & heard women do. They face each other & in quick succession do vocal gymnastics. Can't remember what it's called. For me it's just fascinating.
