With the continued growth of the channel, I get constant questions about the distance of the targets.
As I say in this FAQ, the targets are situated for safety, based on the lay of the land. The distance has always been irrelevant to me, nothing planned, just the best distance I could would out on the property and maintain both relatively easy fun targets, as well as some more difficult targets.

I have two Goldens and one looks and acts identical to Gunner, which we call Chase. These Goldens are the best thing that ever happened to me, they are part of my family and anyone who has owned a Golden will understand. Hickok45 your a hero up here in Canada. God Bless!

@MyLastSiege, The 230 yard gong is not visible in this video; it's on the other hill and can be seen only from way up in the front yard. Check out any of the 230 yard shooting videos and you'll get the perspective, OR watch Range Tour 2 video.

Thank you for the distance on the swinging plates. I have watched a lot of videos looking for that distance. It is so deceiving on video. Looks much farther. Thanks for being a consistent sane voice in all the crud that is on youtube. Appreciate it.

One of the reasons I love your show is , I often practice a longer than average distances with my pistols ! And most people iv encountered at the range seem to only shoot at 20 yards or closer ! I'm always almost laughed at when ever I show up at the range and set a few ten cans at the 50 yard mark or better . Until I send the first few rounds down range ! Yes I under stand that most defensive pistol situations will be in side ten yards ! But it's my belief that if I can draw and hit a tin can

+AK47 Prepper 80 yards with a pistol is no beginner shot. Especially when he's ringing it with pocket 9s/380s

Another excellent job hickok45. A suggestion from a video editor here, it would be useful to have the camera swing 90° (right) at times, or even 45° (on a tripod) to allow the viewer to see more of your shooting stance, trigger work, and aim. No complaints though, your tireless work is outstanding, and a great reference on so many topics.

I have trouble hitting at 10 yards...props for you hickok for your shooting skills. I love it when you hit all the swinging targets rapidly. Ima need a few thousand more rounds down range before I can do that lol

50 yards = 45.72 meters 80 yards = 73.15200 meters 17 yards = 15.5448 meters And thats all i have to say about that ;)

Nice place Hickok man, that place really looks nice! Hey I could use some tips on trigger pull, I do fine with the 1911 sa but not so great with the glock striker fired trigger system. Any tips would be appreciated!

Out of curiosity, I'd like to see what you could do with an air rifle/handgun. They're supposed to be good for 50-100 yards if you do your part.

@ToweringPillarOfCats Thats because these videos are informative and the other "type" is just to make cash. Kinda like comparing Epicmealtime to a quality cookery show, it just really isnt worth it. Either way being in the UK hickok45 gives me the chance to have a little more understanding about weapons i am unlikely to experience this side of the pond.
