The thing about RDR2 is yes it could get a 60fps patch but most likely if rockstar does give an update it will be a next gen PS5/XSX native app and they will probably charge 30$ for the update. Honestly I have no problems with either solution they would pick however

Yeah, credit too Ubi on this one, most studios seem to only be updating their most recent titles so it's nice that they're going back through their catalogue. Here's hoping AC Unity/Syndicate get an update, tho i'm pretty sure they wanna forget those games happened 😅

Yah I agree. And I’ve heard this a lot from others as well. Far Cry 5, and especially New Dawn, both look better than 6. They seem to be going for more photorealism, where 6 has a cartoony look at times and for some reason looks blurrier and less crisp than 5. It’s probably due to trying to resolve the far heavier foliage of the jungle, but something about it is less appealing visually than FC5 and New Dawn.

there's a lot of materials in 6 that look very out of place, the blue libertad paint on rocks and such really stands out as it has two different shaders for day and night and it doesn't look good or blend smoothly when the game switches between them, it just turns them on/off on a single frame. they also removed/toned down heavily some of the best aspects of far cry 5. no more melee weapons, just a machete. no more throwing your melee weapons, the fun of throwing a baseball bat or a shovel was incredible. it doesn't help that the first tutorial island is the worst in the series by far. forcing you to walk during far fry 5's first island made sense, because it was a microcosm of the whole game, and it wasn't very large. far cry 6's tutorial island is huge and they do give you a horse, but it's simply not fast enough for the scale of that island. and that island drags on and on, not nearly as good as fc5's botw esque first island. you do get vehicles on the first island, but only after you do most of the quest line there, and only enemy vehicles on certain paths.

I think 3 got a remaster, so maybe...

For a game that still had to obey ps3/360 design rules, I’d say a proper remaster/rebuild for 9th gen would be the ideal choice. But frankly I don’t think that Ubisoft and their pipeline is geared towards solid remastering :/ most if not all they released for PS4 are only just clearing the lowest bar.

Hell, many developers have done it, spiderman 2018 got a remastered PS5 version, The Witcher 3 just got one too.

If did my math right, the Series X is pushing about 77% more pixels, if the PS5 is at 2880x1620 and Series X is 3840x2160.

Always gotta take into account the bias when I watch these videos, it’s pretty annoying.

Arkham City can be played at 59 fps on ps5 (yes, 59. They messed up the frame limit). It's a bit stuttery because of this. Indoors it runs 59 fps, outdoors the framerate is all over the place because of how poorly optimized the game is. But it's better than 30 fps. Note that you need the disc version, and do not update the game. 1.00 unlocks the framerate.

Instead this gen they focus on the sometimes LESS than 1 percent FPS difference and never talk about the 50 percent or more resolution the Series X version is running at while losing less than 1 percent of the FPS count. It's pandering on the side of the reviewers to Sony fans and not being willing to speak the truth.

It certainly seems like they're shilling for Sony fans for some reason. I thought it was just in my head. I have both consoles and a Series S and love them all, so I have zero bias. But objectively the X is the best overall in this game.

I did the same thing but I new game +'d this game five times during the forced lockdowns, albeit it on PS4. I then played it on series X and it seemed like a breath of fresh bliss. This is a game you know you'll replay, because it's so good.

On series X far cry 4 got fps boost to 60. But that was just a backend update by Xbox themselves so it still has sub 1080p resolution which is a bit of a caveat.

Absolutely spot on. I said as much when the game ended, something along the lines of _"why the hell did I play the game?"_ There really was no point, other than the "fun" of the game itself.

You have to be kidding he mislead everyone with the perceived sharpness of games on ps5 it looks nowhere near as sharp as 4k even their own X 3 zoom shows how blurry it looks. Have a look at background characters are blurry on PS5. Checkout 6 min 15 where it proves it. The textures just look way sharper at 4k on series X . Nothing to do with PS5 either as it’s just PS4 pro resolution same as Series X uses superior One X visuals to begin with.
