Wonder why they say no anti aliazing as if it was a bad think. Image quality don't always gets better with it turned on. It also depends heavily what type of aliazing is used.

Being still active on PS4 doesn't necessarily mean that I'm ONLY still active on PS4. I'm playing for 95 percent on PS5, but sometimes I go back, just to play an old game or for comparison reasons.

Honestly, only just being informed about the frame rate from this video, I think that's disappointing. I think people wouldn't mind the graphics looking slightly worse with a better frame rate, it's kinda ridiculous to me

Can't wait for someone to dump the textures from the switch version and make a texture pack for the GC version 😉 Or we get a mod that tones down the SSR so we don't have reflective grass, and polished bricks in an area that's supposed to be dirty and dingy; as well as 60FPS mod; and a dialogue mod that restores the GC's personality to this game again. Then we can just pirate this, emulate it, and call the modded Switch version the definitive way to play the game 😂

I might get me an LG G4 77" after the summer when prices are down and the indoor season begins. The biggest problem is that my current LG E7 supports 3D and I'm one of those weirdos that enjoys 3D movies and I have lots of them. Might be able to watch them in a VR headset but the backlight bleed of the LCD in the Quest 3 is no joke and the original Rift has OLED but quite a bit of screendoor effect and god rays

At this point all I think of is whether the Switch 2 will enable those missing 60 FPS or not. PlayStation 5 provided backward compatibility, unfortunately not many games got 60 FPS updates. I have some more hope for Switch games though as their prices remain the same over time so technically Nintendo could boost their initial Switch 2 sales (and income in general) by offering 60FPS updates for most of their Switch 1 titles. Playing Xenoblade 3 in 60FPS and without dynamic resolution kicking in would be a blast!

I don’t care what anybody says, any game that has any form of movement in it looks better at 60fps. It’s as simple as that. While an RPG may not ‘need’ to be 60fps, it would still look smoother and better running at 60fps. This won’t stop me buying it and enjoying it, but seeing them both run side by side you can clearly see that the GameCube version just looks smoother in motion. It’s such a shame.

I'm loving how the floor actually looks like cardboard/paper now. I would honestly love a remake of the first paper mario now with updated graphics like this.

Nintendo should never of allowed Alpha Dream to close down, they did such an amazing job making the Mario & Luigi RPG games. They got lazy during 3ds era & just remade Bowsers inside story & Superstar Saga.

I gave it a few more hours and the gampad controls are even worse then expected. 1) Are you holding energy weapon and you want to interact with something, but you miss it by a few pixels? Too bad, you will realod and consume your precious battery pack. 2) Are you holding energy weapon and you want to autosort your inventory? Too bad, you can't. 4) Are you desperate and want to remap your interact action? You can, but guess what, it also rempas the reload action!!!

We were able to play lightball Tennis against Ganon in OoT at 15fps, 30fps in a game like this is fine.

Definitely a remake, not a remaster. Everything was redone from scratch. Its the same core game, obviously, but none of the code from the original Gamecube version is intact. A remaster would be the same code, but with small QOL improvements to textures and other small things. Its surprising that a lot of people still don't know the difference between remake and remaster.

its pathetic that games today require so little dedication from the player that requiring the tiniest amount gets praised. and no, the remake is a downgrade from the original in every aspect and unlike popular belief, the "revolutionary immersive sim" influence is from ultima underworld, not system shock. the "revolutionary" design of system shock is subtraction and removal of elements from UU1&2. something that nightdive obviously didn't understand.

If they remade the visuals at all it's a remake. A remaster is taking whats there and cleaning it up for modern hardware. If it's new assets it's a remake.
