I love the attention to detail on the new guns like the AS VAL, SKS, and KSG. It's a shame some guns like the SPAS 12 and M14 are still using the outdated left-handed models and animations from Far Cry 3.

i wish ubisoft was more consistent with the animations, some were pretty well done like the ksg while others are just copy and pasted from older farcrys or just low effort animations

Apart from bolts being ignored and rounds not ejecting out of guns like the SKS and Mosin, I find these reloads to be awesome. The only one bothering me is the Rat-4, I wish we had the cool smoking spent casing coming out of there.

They did it back in Far Cry 2 with a Carl Gustav that one was way more interesting because if you fired it in the wrong places it would cause a fire behind because of the backblast

the bolt head on the mosin isn't even attached to the rest of the bolt, at 3:59 look at where the bullet should be in comparison to the rest of the cartridge

Something I can never unsee is that all the bullets on the belts for the lmgs have indented primers. Someone made a conscious effort to model that and didn't realise it was wrong.

What's an indented primer?

@@BrunoSantos-jp1lv The primer is basically that "dot" on the back of the bullet that contains a chemicals that ignite the gunpowder in the bullet when struck hard by the firing pin in a gun. Usually if you see an indented primer like that on an unfired bullet, that means it was the result of a misfire... and most of the time bullets like those don't fire. Any factory standard bullet will come with non-indented primers, so the fact that all of the bullets here do is a goof.

Honestly, I think Ubi did a fantastic job for the most part with the gun's depictions. One really cool detail I noticed is that when using the SKS or any other gun you get to see the bullets while you're reloading it, the tip of the bullet changes color depending on ammo type.

Some copy pasted animations are left unchanged, BUT if you see closely, some *seemingly* copy pasted animations are actually changed slightly. And holy fuck the ksg surprised me aswell

Really cool detail with the minigun, if you pre-spin the barrel you will hear the engine run through the RPM range and will back fire a bit if you let off and on the trigger

The AK at 02.46 is in fact an AKM, the AK-47 was (due to difficulties in production) first MASS produced with a milled receiver, dust cover and no muzzle device. This model has a stamped receiver, (ribbed) dust cover and a slanted brake. You can see its stamped by the reinforcement which is visible by the tip of the selector lever.

Yes, we can see that some animations (not all of them) were copied from other farcry games. But you can still spot and apreciate some difference and changes on some of them. For example, when performing a tactical reload, the player doesn't dump the magazine like in other farcy games, instead keeps the magazine and places a new one. Now, when it has a full empty mag, the player dumps the empty mag for a new one. Also, the reloading sounds are one of the best reloading sounds Ive heard in a Farcry game.

They can have a super accurate ksg reload and model the underside but they still can't put the spas 12's ejection port on the right side of the gun after all these years. Also the spas 12 needs to have you hold the the loading latch button on the side to load it

For the RPD, i'm not sure about the release for the ammo box. But what i do know is that de RPD is an OPEN BOLT LMG, which means the you need to pull the bolt back for the firearm to be able to fire again. This also is the case for the rest of the LMG's

@2:47 The AKM is exactly that, a "modernized" version (next iteration) of the early type-3 AK-47. The type-1 AK-47 utilized a stamped receiver, while the type-2 and 3 utilized a milled receiver; so based off the in game model, it is an AKM which had a stamped receiver (see rivets). It's a pretty good recreation on the AKM too, including things like the ribbed dust cover. So, technically there is no AK-47 in Far Cry 6, just an AKM and an AKM with more "tactical" furniture.

Mind you, the way Treyarch does revolver reloads would necessitate 6 different reload animations depending on how many rounds you fired. The Webley here tosses the whole cylinder and fills it back up 2 rounds at a time. In the Black Ops games, revolvers don't drop their entire cylinder and fill up from 0. They act like tube-fed shotguns, filling up the current cylinder one round at a time until it's full. Properly animating this would require 6 different animations, so Treyarch just dumps the full cylinder and loads single rounds into the same part of the cylinder off screen. The only game that has properly animated a revolver the way Treyarch intends them to function, to my knowledge, is Firearms: Source. Battlefield 2042 does a similar thing but it just saves unfired rounds before using a speed loader.

beautiful video! there are some editing mistakes, and possibly logical gun mistakes as well. 1. on the RPD mid reload section, it still has the empty on it (edit-wise) 2. i believe some of the heavy machine guns dont have a locked bolt 3. the SBS is a just a long double barreled shotgun which actually flicks the shells out of the gun rather than the wielder taking it out (most of the gas pressure FROM the db shotgun forces the shells out anyways) ((this is wrong, you have to pull the shells out)) 4. i think throwing out a magazine for the MP5 family that rough might damage the magwell 5. i dont think the AR-C doesnt have a locked bolt, miiight be wrong however 6. for el pequeno, you should probably not slam out a drum magazine like that without pushing out the entire belt first and i think that'd just break it 7. why would you flick out a whole gas tank (el besito) honestly, ive watched your videos for a long time and they are always pretty good to watch, even the captions. great work on everything else and ubisoft did a great job with the rest of the reloading animations, drawbacks or not

Groza is the name of the gun, yes. Full name is OTS-14 Groza, and Far Cry 6 uses the 7.62 Soviet and 9×39mm variants.

Oddly enough, the El Pequeño (an obvious Hybrid M134 w/ GAU-19/A barrels) kinda reminds me of the Auger from Infinite Warfare.

I dont want to seem like that person buuuuuut....... The Yaran SR-A is in-fact an Accuracy International "AW" series , most notably the AWP variant because of the 10 rnd mag capacity. The 5 rnd capacity may come from one of the other AW variants, specifically the AWM, chambered in .338 Luapa Magnum unlike the AWP series (chambered in .308 Winchester). @@espud0651 The Alejandro was included because it would make more sense for the games setting, as the Alejandro was manufactured in Cuba: the continent Yara is based on.

Here is something I don't understand: like, why is the character just throwing magazines away like it's no one's business, it would be seriously hard to obtain those magazines(like the 50 cal rifle magazines for example) or does that character have someone just going behind him picking up those empty magazines or some shit?

Correct me if I am wrong but... 1) A stechkin pistol never had a drum 2) Mosin and SKS should eject a round if a player reloads with ammo in the internal mag 3) All the primers on the bullets are already dented 4) Makarov and the 6p9 magazines should have cut outs on the side And it may just be me but the El Pequeño looks like the gatling gun from Metro Last Light

Wile still using the same models from far cry 5 and new dawn at least they had a lot of different animations for most of the reused models
