@@pom8130 iirc, BOCW was originally a SHG's work before being transferred to Treyarch, with Vanguard as an afterthought. When (fuck) Activision gave SHG's time to shine for CoD 2021 release, Vanguard was basically rushed in terms of everything you could think of. Heck, just look on how soulless and directionless the game had become over its life cycle.

my grandpa always praised the F2000. the government only issued them to a few squads back in the 40’s, and my pa was one of the lucky few. he fought along side Sergeant S. Dogg to keep king kong out of German hands. these guns are a rare piece of history, glad the games keeping their legacy alive! long live activision

I'm guessing your Grandpa knew about the slide cancel strat. I read a book from school about Sergeant S. Dogg training a batallion with this tactic to kill the enemy team without losing a single man, and unlike the Germans, S.Dogg knew how to reload a panzerfäust, funny how the enemy team produced ton of them, yet they never learned how to reload

@@ShounLander I also read that book but what's interested me most is the I.O.P part, they managed to modify weapon where at that time their technology is not advanced as ours, take example of drum mag M1 garand now it became the most reliable marksman rifle of all time.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is one of the games of all time. The sounds are heard, the guns are firing, the animation is an example of an animation, the gameplay is there, the mechanic works and the visuals can be seen in our line of sight. Its truly an FPS game that exists. I'll rate it /10.

My grandpa told me the story of how My Team was attacking the beaches of Normandy, and damn... The Enemy Team was ruthless. They had anime stickers on their guns and were bunny hopping with no stock Kar98s and MG38s. And how My Team was slide cancelling to try to avoid The Enemy Team's fire. This has to be the best mobile game in the world - up there with raid shadow legends.

@@emiliou6898 suspension of desbelief. Modern Warfare and cold war at least kind of immerse you in the setting with the art style and gunsmith so unrealistc camos are forgivable. Vanguard tone is all over the place with awfully cursed guns and cartoonish color palette. Of course every flaw it's very noticeable.

Maybe because with the EX1 at least you know it’s completely fictional and in a video game, also not the first time a sci-fi gun showed up in a WW2 game (COD WaW Ray Gun in campaign). You could also chalk it off as a spooky German science experiment like a wonder weapon or whatever, but the F2000 is a real modern era gun featured in this 1940s styled game which Sledgehammer claimed to be ‘authentic’. Also it’s so out of place among its rough metal and wooden gun counterparts with its polyester build.

I love the fact that Sledgehammer tried to make actual WW2 game; even going so far to have your guy load individual rounds with scoped bolt actions; only to have Raul Menendez and the fucking Terminator running around with laser beams and FN2000s as soon as it was clear that the player base dipped hard time. Activision's tyrannical dogma of COD releases and Sledgehammer's fumbling has yielded some of the best comedy all year round.

Kudos to the animators spending their time to make things look nice visually. Shame the audio team felt like it needed a LOT of jangles and rustling noises to sell the reload sounds.. And the modelers out there making some nice looking and cursed looking weapons.

If they sound nice to you, cool. IMO, the sound design is trash. They reused CoD WW2’s sounds, which sound atrocious; like nuts and bolts jingling in various containers. On top of that, there is no variety difference in weapon sounds either. You could probably have your eyes shut and not tell the difference between most of the weaponry aside from the iconic. MW1 and MW2’s sound design is much more better, both on the ears and how immersive it sounds.

Fun Fact: The Volkstrumgewher was designed as a throwaway weapon. It was built to be very rugged, and attempting to disassemble it would be very difficult to attempt. The Rifle itself was strictly a Semi-automatic rifle. There were some unconfirmed reports of a full-auto variant, but converting the Rifle to full auto was unlikely due to the Volk being a weapon that would be discarded fairly often when it broke, and it would have increased manufacturing time which the Germans simply did not want to waste.

8:24 the appareance of the marlín model 1917 surprises me more than the damn F2000 because it competed against the Browning m1917 and m1919 back in ww1 and lost The army favored those machine guns more, yet it appears in this game, even if it’s production stopped.

Call of duty Vanguard should've been made into Command and Conquer Red Alert 1 style FPS where in the alternate reality WW2 was fought with more modern guns and tech.

man the amount of the same sounding reloads is a bit maddening. it is even more so when you realize a lot of them are just reused from COD WW2. it is a lot to constantly hear it.
