We've reached the point in video games where the uncanny valley in character design is less of an issue than the uncanny valley in character writing. These don't feel like people, they feel like witty dialogue dispensers that are out of order.

I feel like this could have worked better as a DLC then a whole new game, you know something like Dawngaurd or Undead Nightmare where its epic length but still within the already established game world.

This wasn't bad, they should have just made it a $20 expansion for Far Cry 5 though.

I just love how the main motivation for the villainous sisters effectively amounts too "we're just violent assholes who were bored and looking for something to do after the apocalypse so we decided to take over the world". Brilliant writing there ubisoft, you've basically managed to crib the motivation of some of the finer e-list bond villains to ever exist.

Must say, I love the ending of this game and I really like the sense of not having a happy ending like every other game these days. I like this feeling of dread that no one ever died happy, everyone had/have some sort of redemption whether it was to try and fix past wrongs or make a better future, nothing ever turned out how it should be.

When he got shot with the shotgun, I don't know why he didn't go for the shotgun in the first place after he threw the twins away from him. He just ran to the pink one, the one who didn't have the gun, and started beating her up when he could've ran to the shotgun while both of the twins were down. It was so stupid to me. He just randomly starts beating up a twin when there is a shotgun near the other twin. No wonder he got shot. Yet again, it didn't matter anyway, because somehow, even though he got shot with a fucking shotgun and fell off a tall building, he still survives because I don't fucking know. Probably because of a lighter, the greatest bulletproof shield in the universe.

I feel it would have been cool if at the beginning you can go with the "normal game" which is new dawn like this. Or an alternate version of the game where the rook never killed the seed family and just left hope county (the secret ending) and when the captain comes along to hope county and encounters new eden they dont have to face the highwaymen with just a small force and instead is able to fight a full fledged war between the Highwaymen and the Project. I think that would have been badass to see. Taking missions from jacob and faith and even john. Maybe as even a reference you couldve found the local sherriffs office and either found the normal deputy there, or all the deputies and sherriff Whitehorse

I feel they should make an alternate Far Cry 5 game. This should have been a DLC or special add on. The alternate goes off the secret ending of Far Cry 5 where you leave. Then you are a character in a special unit sent to stop the in fighting between the cult and the people. You then have choices on who to help and who to fight with multiple endings on who takes over the map, Joseph Seed, resistance or your own group. Missions for different groups give you different perks. Would be good as they put soo much effort into the actors for their villains. We need to see more of how they work.

I looked at this game and thought " wow this is just like saints row 4" Saints row 4, for those who don't know, was intended to be a dlc for saints row the third. This game was much more fitting as a dlc for Far Cry 5, rather than its own game. Looked like a good game, even though only watching cutscenes can be quite different from playing the actual game. And as the ending is kinda disappointing, its still better than the two endings in Far Cry 5, where either way all of your friends die, one way by you, and the other way also by you and your shitty driving. This ending is more of a hopeful ending, in which you see there is hope for the future of these characters. The game looks nice, literally speaking. The idea of a destroyed world reclaimed by nature is a great idea, although several nukes were dropped, and I don't think 6 years is close to enough time for the world to go back to normal, with grass and all that shit. I mean hell, look at fallout, the main character in fallout 4 goes to cryosleep for 200 YEARS (give or take) and yet there is not much green, no leaves on trees, every animal is irradiated, all that shit. In Far Cry New Dawn, you have 6 years to regrow all plants, have all animals come back into the area, and have no traces of radiation. SIX YEARS. Sound like a lot of time, but I don't think six years is nearly enough time for everything to be a okay. Other than that, which I think is very very strange, the game is pretty good

Yeah, I'm playing it now and it really just feels like Story DLC, only it really seems bit larger then any normal add on they release. I was quite bummed a third of the entire world map had been removed... That and I think the air planes as well. 😒 I see the 3 helo's I could craft, guess it beats not flying at all.. I just started last night, haven't even went for rush yet so, idk I guess I shall see.. I watched about 20 min or so of this before I decided to just give it a shot... Ima far cry fan so it didn't take much convincing. The world they made for this one looked far more gorgeous then 5's did . tho i still really do enjoy this series far Cry 2 in my opinion is the very best of them And after 2 it just hasn't been the same... Kinda seemed a lil ahead of its time. Maybe the 6th title will finally give more Of the far cry best then copying some other Fps style.
