Man, they actually asked actual linguists for advice on language. No-one *ever* does that, they just take english or whatever and replace every word with a different word (I'm looking at you, Bethesda >:U ). I'll have to buy the game twice just for that.

By the way, if anyone is interested in the language, the creators have a blog where they release Grammar, Vocabulary and interesting notes. And Andrew Byrd is a really awesome and friendly guy, and even personally answers question if you have any, and is open to suggestions what he should write about next. +Chris Hammond Plenty of stone age cultures used bows and arrows! Not sure where you got that idea. Wikipedia: "The bow seems to have been invented near the transition from the Upper Paleolithic to the Mesolithic, roughly 10,000 years ago." There are also a bunch of modern cultures with stone-age levels of technology that use bows.

This game supposedly does blend some eras together (e.g. The 5,000ybp bit and earlier) in order to set up some conflicts that IRL are believed to be less interesting. But that's more to make up for the holes in our knowledge (e.g. Impossible to reconstruct languages to 10,000ybp at the moment) and have some animals roaming around that may have actually been rare or extinct.

multiplayer map editor?? no vids yet and your running out of time. ARK is a monster that will eat you... 320 hrs on pre release and still going. you cant beat multiplayer. your AI is no comparrison, after 40 hours the player is going though the motions..... not with ARK. multipkayer map editor is the only thing that will save your investment. FACT.
