After a year and a half, we are jumping back into our Texas State Park adventure. When we learned that Fairfield Lake State Park was slated to close at the end of February 2023, we knew we had to go. The notice came with less than two weeks till the closing date, so we scrambled to rearrange our plans so that we could go. We're so glad we got to hike some of the trails with many, many others that final weekend. It's a treasure our state will surely miss.
