Honestly, I have so many duels like this when I play Generaider. Most decks are trying to prevent your opponent from playing the game. Generaider is the opposite. It even gives the enemy cards in his hand with certain effects so that he can play the game even better than normally while the deck still manages to deal with whatever the enemy throws at this deck somehow. And this combined with the insane plus effects of Witchcrafters almost guarantees for a great duel to watch.

Zoma the spirit was so nutty back in highschool. One of my favorite cards, and I ran it with lava golem, blast sphere, magic cylinder, and wave motion canon.

I wouldnt be suprised if it was longer. I had a game on dueling book playing resonators vs infernoble once that had a 1 hour 20 min game 2 and the match ended 2-1 to me after 2 and a half hours. was the most big brained back and forth ever, prolly due to how bad our decks were and how lucky our hands were.

Just dueled a Witchcrafter deck yesterday with Ignister, shit was so annoying.

Couldn’t looked for an opportunity to bomb the field spell or perma trap sooner but… this pretty solid

@@Brkncntrllr Witchcrafters specialize in the grind game. Generaiders also specialize in the grind game. Its probably why these two decks make for some of the greatest showpieces. How to counter witchcrafters: just play a meta deck lmfao. I'm not even joking fr. The reason that Witchcrafters are so good is because their spells always add advantage and their monsters are good enough to lock down the opponent long enough for the witchcrafter's advantage to pan out. Rogue decks often struggle against witchcrafters because they simply lack a couple things. 1. OTK Power 2. Board Presence 3. Advantage Witchcrafters die to OTK, can't put out enough negates to play against a full combo of a lot of top decks such as Drytron or PK, and simply can't out-resource their opponent within one turn as their spells require multiple turns to generate advantage. Therefore, to play against Witchcrafters you NEED OTK power or board presence. Kill Haine, Verre, and negate the Auroru go in for the kill. OR Set up a board of infinite negates to prevent the comeback such as with a typical Adamancipator board or a Herald + Eva and 2 other fairies. Five negates are the bare minimum to prevent a witchcrafter comeback.

I genuinely think that FTKs are unsportsmanlike. Yes, sometimes you can interrupt the combos with an Ash Blossom or something, but most of the time you're not gonna have one in your hand, so there is no counterplay to it - which, for me, makes it unsportsmanlike. It's MUCH better to have a good exchange of plays with an opponent. Also, those Adamancipator boards with, like, 6 omni-negates every turn are just WRONG. Like... How is that fun? How?

@@anenbie you know it's interesting that not too long ago really, solemn judgment was a banned card because ONE Omni negate was too powerful. Now adamancipator comes in and makes one solemn look like a joke.

@@point-five-oh6249 Right?! Meanwhile, nowadays you can have, apart from Adamancipator boards, just straight up: Baronne de Fleur, Cyber Dragon Infinity, Hope Harbinger Dragon, HERALD and many more. It's really, really annoying. Like, yes, negates are part of the game, but when you lock your opponent out because of a board with loads of them that's just straight up unfair.

@@anenbie so just to reiterate, I actually really like how combos are possible. I find it the best approach for what was once next to impossible to get these certain boss monsters and making it consistent is fun as it allows players to make varieties of strategies. My issue with Yu-Gi-Oh in general right now is the simple fact that turn one doesn't even allow turn two to play as well. This meta promotes lazy players that don't read cards because they feel like they're totally protected by their wall of easy to make negates. Adamancipator is just one of the many issues... Drytron herald is an issue, link dragons were worse than they are now but since the guardragon links were mostly tossed out, it's not AS bad but still bad. And then Eldlich just plays on your turn. Why Konami feels like turn two in a multiplayer game should just be completely absorbed by turn one is beyond me. And they wonder why people have such a hard time coming back from playing a long time ago, or attracting new players to come in. Excluding the fact that MD is technically FTP, the actual TCG will run you like $400 just for a side board. Not even going into your actual main Deck, and because of the way this meta is, most decks aren't even viable purely because they are totally useless against the amount of negates turn one can crank out. If you look at it by card economy ratios, one negate on field already makes your opponent start off at -1. Which is insane. 2 negates effectively makes your opponent start off at -2. See there's a reason why cards like Delinquent Duo and Forceful Sentry are banned, because the card advantage that making someone's hand useless is too strong in a game where card drawing spells are either banned (pot of greed, graceful charity) or extremely expensive in terms of in-game cost (Desires makes you banish 1/4 of your deck, Extravagance makes you ditch a little under half your extra deck, etc). This is why in MTG, black mana combos at removing cards in opponent's hand is fine because there are lots of draw options available. But because Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't have mana or some other resource system, it's balanced around the fact that turn 2 has 6 cards to start with, and one negate is already extraordinarily powerful because we normally only get 1 normal summon. So instead of awesome duels where you figure out what your opponents strategy is by testing their field, we just have lazy FTK duelists that build a near unbreakable board and there is no turn 3-4. The main issue is that the ability to build that kind of board is far more consistent than the amount of cards available to get rid of it, and the fact that they will take up a card in your hand, so even when you use something like a Kaiju or Dark Ruler No More, turn 1 already got the effect off, even if the negates never actually happened because you still went -1, or more. This meta isn't fun and it kinda gatekeeps itself from the average player.

You get a pair of Shield Wings in the Synchro starter. I should know, since I was using them until the Festival rewards + b-day cash let me hit up the limited-time bundles to get proper cards & crafting mats. Laugh at the Shield Wing if you like, but I know a RR guy who isn’t :p

@@shawnpanzegraf5642 Mashmallon would be so much better for that deck though. Instead of can't be destoryed by battle 2 times per turn it has can't be destroyed by battle infinite times per turn. Also it burns your opponent for 1000 if they attack into it.

I dropped nibiru after giving it a try for a few days. It's a brick in probably 4/5 games. On games where it could be live, most opponents can just play through it. I think I got nibiru to actually resolve and stop the combo only once in over 50 games in plat...
