Acquaroli I am convinced had himself killed off Suburra Blood on Rome so he could be his great great grandfather. (He's also why I can't stay up staircases too long)

I love that Ebal the consigliere doesn't order food as if he's in a rush and their meeting is on his time. Doctor Senator orders a whole meal and still leaves before he does. What a character.

It amazes me that those flapjacks are ready in less than a minute, but Doctor Senator doesn’t even take one bite of those magic pancakes.

Ebal is played by Francesco 'Samurai' Acquaroli who once got killed while eating so he probably has a no eating clause.

This scene is so well done and acted so beautifully that I could not care less that the ages don’t line up (Doctor Senator’s like 20-years too old for the story he tells.) One of the best scenes of the season. Edit (Correction): My comment that he would be too old is geared toward the writers of the show, whom I believed fudged the ages because the actor and story are too perfect to care about the details (like how the father in Christmas Story is perfect but in reality too old). I am not saying the CHARACTER is lying (or incorrect) IN story.

Would he be too old? I mean, if he was on the front lines with a gun in his hands, yes, he’s way too old for that. But he said he was in legal, pushing papers. Quite possible he was career military and had been in the service for many years with a desk job. In fact, I’d like to think this story he tells is what made him decide to retire from the military and start working with Loy.

He was definitely not young at the time. That colonel called him esquire so he had to have gone to law school before joining and passed the bar ahead of joining the army, which would've likely been the only reason he was in the legal corps. It's possible that he still tried to join up as an older man and was accepted because of his particular skill set.

Well Glynn Turman is 75-years-old. Let’s say Doctor Senator’s 5-years-younger in 1949: 70. That means he’d be 67 when given the job of working with Göring. I don’t believe the US Army had too many mid-60s years-old soldiers during the war who weren’t generals. Again, this fact doesn’t phase me in the slightest. I love this performance and this scene. But as a history nerd, I know the ages don’t line up

One of the most shocking scenes of the whole series. Doctor Senator is such a badass man. I loved that scene where he said to Calamita and the fat dude they were just boys making a mess that he'd have to clean up one day 🔥🔥🔥 This show is so sick! Best series ever to me!

It's a terrible season with a mediocre scene, "Doctor Senator" (quite possibly the dumbest character name in history) doesn't feel threatening in the least bit either, nor does his story even convey a threat or even a coherent-relevant-message.
