Hey everyone, Eezore here, and this video is the first in a series about Farm Together. A nice, calm, fun little farming sim that has taken over my free time (however little that may be). As such, I recently started a second farm just to try out "hard mode" and figured I'd share some tips as to starting out in this game. I'll be breaking down a few basic things, and giving some tips for the first dozen or so levels. If your looking for mid to high farm level 20 tips check out the next video in the series!
First off, do the tutorial! There is a bunch of info there that really helps set the foundation for this game. I'll not cover the basics here, but I will mention the various ways to make money.
Crops: The Bread and Butter of this game. You need to plow the land in order to plant any crops, and then it takes REAL TIME to mature in order to harvest. You can water the crops in order to shave off some time from the total, but it's a set amount and really is something to pass the time when you play.
Trees. These are a bit different, and actually really nice for harvesting! Every season(17 minutes real time) they bear fruit if it's a season they would normally. For example the Apple tree gives fruit every season, so every 17 minutes it's harvestable. The Lemon tree however can only be harvested in Fall, so it takes 68 minutes to harvest each time. Pay attention to that!
Animals. These have an initial investment of gold, then you need to "feed them" with more gold in order to harvest them. Basically, you'll need a ton of money for these, however they do make serious coin later so it's a wise investment if you can continue it. There is a hitch, they can only be have feed for so long before they need more. So basically when you log off there is a good chance they won't be harvestable when you get back on.
Fish. Fish are a bit like animals, where there is an initial investment, but the harvest is a bit different. They can be caught every so often, sometimes 20 minutes, others 2 hours, and will ALWAYS give you money. The small catch will always happen, where as the big catch is the % chance to get. So if it's 25 gold for the big catch, 3 gold for the small, and a 50% catch rate, you have a 50% chance to get 25 gold every 30 minutes!
Flowers. These need to be planted, then they will always be harvestable when the time is up. Meaning if it's a 2 hour harvest time, they will be up in 2 hours. HOWEVER the amount of money decreases for the amount of time the flower is not watered! So if you don't water it at all, it will be lower than the harvest amount listed!
Now those are all the different ways to make money, you should also be aware of the buildings as well. They take the items harvested, fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish, ect, and trade you diamonds for them. Diamonds are how you decorate the farm, and buy expansions, as well as other cool things.
