Hello I am new to your You Tube channel I noticed the barn is the bull family tree was listed on the wall and I think in is the family tree of a International Famous Guernsey bull, you might want to check with the Guernsey Cattle Association. Butter names where both used for Guernsey and Jersey bulls in the early 1900’s to mid 1900’s. At one time both Guernsey and Jersey bloodlines from the UK where world famous and where in a very high demand and international marketed. At one time hand made on the farm made butter was a very high luxury item and very high priced because the butter quality was excellent. Regards Hope

Hey Hope, Thanks for your comment. Logically that makes a lot of sense and I see where your coming from however after years of looking I coincidentally came across an article about the bull. Turned out to be a top British Friesian bull, I have spoken about it more, and posted the article on this weeks video! If you have time, take a look. 👍

Your farm looks great. I love the old farm buildings, but they aren’t suitable for modern farming, so lots have disappeared. I’m glad yours are still well kept. It all looks super efficient and well run, but hard work! Happy new year to you and your family 👍

Thanks Michael, the old building are great and I always think it’s a shame they are in the middle of the yard as we arnt really able to do much with them. They would be beautiful houses or something. As part of our stewardship scheme we have to keep them up to a good standard which is nice. Happy new year to you!

Hi James, thanks for your sharing. I would like to ask you a question regarding the feed trough. How you put the feed inside? Directly with the mixer wagon? And second, I saw some of these that haven’t the roof on top: what happens and how you manage if it rains? Ciao and thank you from Italy. Cheers, Alberto

We do have a pile for the wood that is chopped but not stacked too! The fords are classics. We have a Fordson Dexta which has been on farm since new and is still used on the scraper and the 4600 is not the log splitter tractor. However it used to be the main tractor and carried out all the spraying, fertilising, baling and carting at one point in time! 👍

Hi Stephen, our current cows are British Blue cross British Frisian however we are about to bring stabilisers into the herd.
