It hurts me deeply, but I am dismantling and parting out my beloved '79 Chevy K-10 farm truck It will be a parts donor for the 1976 Chevy K10 Sport truck project I got from ‪@JunkyardDigs‬. This old square body truck has been a workhorse for years and served as the Engine Puller 9000, but her organs and other parts will help revive the '76 squarebody truck - Rest In Pieces. ► Please Like, Subscribe, and Share with Your Friends!

Since I live in the desert, the first thing I noticed about your farm truck was what looks like a perfect dash pad. And I think you could save that hood, some angle iron on the inside could replace the 2x4s Even that evap canister could be worth money to some poor soul like me who still has to smog an '85 Suburban.

I get how hard it is letting go. I, too, am a hoarder. I have four Priuses. The one I have had the longest is painted 1971 Dodge Sublime green and has 506,000 miles on the original motor. GM switched to torx head bolts because they are less likely to fall off the bit during assembly. When one falls off a bit, the worker doesn't look for it on the floor, they just grab a new one. Switching to torx from Phillips head bolts saved gm a lot of money

You do an amazing job teaching your son how to be a successful smart capable future adult. Your son works better than most young adults in the workforce. Yesterday I had to teach a professional grocery bagger to not put the eggs in the bottom of the bag. He was going to put the eggs on the bottom of the bag and pile everything else on top. This is the world we live in now where nobody has situational awareness anymore or common sense. Your son adjusted the camera for better shots and he went straight to work with competent hands and mind, A FATHER WOULD BE SO PROUD 🥲!!!

You are a braver man than me with regard to opening the Pandora's box that is the Automatic Gearbox. Manual boxes you see gears and selectors and lay shafts and idler gears and can easy see how it does its thing. Autos are full of enough demons and magical happenings to stump Harry Potter - and one look inside them is enough to drive a cold spike through the stoutest petrolhead's heart. I always believed the rebuild kits were something put out by the manufacturers to have us believe they did actually have a mechanical innards, but you never hear of anyone who has rebuilt an auto in their garage, do you? Maybe once they popped the cover to the inner workings, the demons got them......I don't know, but I do wish you all the luck in the world if you attempt the endeavour to make one work as intended. All the best!

Really dig your videos. It’s nice to see the little guy helping out. Video games rob kids minds. I grew up in square bodies I now stepped up to OBS’s

If I still lived in KC I'd offer to come by and teach you how to rebuild those slushboxes. They're actually pretty easy to do. Automatic transmissions are actually a little easier than manual transmissions to rebuild. LOTS of snap rings in them though! Maybe some time when I'm in town visiting family.
