I'm getting old, now that I prefer the more mellow, chilled content when you get out of the crackie diverse city hellholes into the country. You should've done it more often, Charlie, for olde England has quite the majestic, stunning places to visit - with nicer actual English people, too. Take your Laura down to beautiful Dorset for a weekend. I've amazing memories of the county from my boarding school days. Olde, real England is a joy to behold.

Even as a Londoner I do smile when I hear " London has fallen " or " England is finished " by the negativity promoters on KZfaq looking for Likes. Reality is our Island is still one of the most beautiful countries on this planet and as Charlie showed us, we only need to get away from the cities to see why we are called Great Britain.

I think it's sad that many people are stuck in the cities because of mobility problems or lack of disposable income. The really beautiful parts of England can be hard to reach, and many towns and cities are being made to look so desolate.

@@bernardm2312 Every aspect of public transport is geared up for those with mobility issues. The is also charities and organisations that take people with disabilities on daily trips into the countryside or beauty spots at affordable costs or for free. And as a ex shop keeper I would like to remind you that for over 30yrs the demise of town centres/high streets and local shops is because of " YOU " and all those who have been buying online or using major supermarkets.

If you ever want to enjoy a trip with a difference, you're welcome to go for a wee jaunt in my yacht. I've recently given her a fresh make over, too. I'll be sailing to Scotland from Belfast in June. Campbeltown and the Arran isle awaits...bliss...and no forced diversity or crackie chavs to ruin it.
