Farmer Chris is so cool! Having that gigantic machine stuck and a 1000 acres of crops waiting for harvest had to be stress at the next level! Really glad you guys were able to get him out and back to work! Thanks for sharing!

Man...! Farmer Chris is rushing in between torrential rain storms, to get a harvest in, and managed to hit a 8ftx8ft sink hole of mud..., who would have thought it..., makes me think back to a Paul Harvey story telling, featuring the life of “so God made a Farmer”... Hang in there Farmer Chris... Great video, Thank you sir.

Your Black Lab is such an awesome dog!! Chris definitely has a combine of the right colour there!! Ohhh yeahhh!! 390+ bushel!! Nice. They get nicer and nicer. So quiet,,,,,,,. We had them in to do custom harvest of all of our grains. We did our own sileage, usually about 1800 +- acres. We were busy enough with that and up to 25,000 head of feed cattle and up to 1200 head of range cattle on about 5800 acres of grazing land. Usually only about 1200 acres of grain. We would rotate the crops a bit.eventually we shut down the feedlot. Maintained it well still, but I was getting ready to retire and sell out. No kids so I thought it better to let another potential legacy take over. The 3,000 acres of crop went back to 1500 acres of hay and with the help of ducks unlimited and a couple of federal departments we returned the other 1500 acres back to natural marsh land and prairie. It was successful! Those that say Farmer Cris has nerves of steel,,,,,,, he does!!! At this point of harvest you are ready to be done! Have loads of maintenance work to do to store everything until next year, are looking at potentially $50K plus in damages if that header sinks into the mud,,,,, and a dozen other factors in the back of his mind. He is very intelligent as well. Don’t let it get to you. Stay calm and get the job done as efficiently as possible. He was there when Mike picked up the machine, helped there, helped unload and then stood back and let Mike do what he had to. They got that thing out exactly as it should have been pulled out!! I know, we have had to pull equipment of similar sizes out of the mud in my area I ranched. Me, neighbours, there was always someone that had a problem. I only had a John Deere backhoe/loader, but you could usually get in close enough to dig a trail out of the mud. It’s much worse if there was water involved,,,,,, it is great that wasn’t part of this one! My neighbour buried a combine, two of his big (BIG) articulated steer 4wd tractors and was taking his front assist out to get the tractors out. I was there with our big John Deere articulated tractor and our big front assist and they had buried my backhoe tractor as well!!! It took a couple of days to get everything out and there was some serious damage to the table on the combine. Once they get bent,,,,,, you might as well think of them as parts and scrap steel. That was the worst one for us. We were stuck several times that year for harvest as well,,,,, it was such a wet year for the prairies. It’s this example I spoke of that is why Mike said Farmer Chris was lucky. If he had buried all 4 wheels,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ugghhh.

TO MIKE and that handsome RED pick me up truck about the INTERIOR: With CLOTH SEATS (believe me) it would serve you VERY well to apply a can or two SCOTCH BRITE to the fabric. Last time I did that and a soda spilled from the holder it BEADED UP on the seat. PLUS you get no dirt or sweat stains. Spray it on when the truck will sit for a day, windows closed in the sun. You'll be glad going forward, seriously! Sonny
