Derek lives and works on the Klingenberg Family farm and ranch. The farm is located south of Peabody, Kansas along the western edge of the Flint Hills which is prime grazing country. He works with his Dad and brother Grant. His middle brother Brett is a pastor of the First Mennonite Church in Beatrice, Nebraska and is still involved in the farm. They raise Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Cattle, and Cats. They background all the cattle and then graze them in the Flint Hills and they end up at the feedyards in Western Kansas.
The farm was started in the mid 30's by his grandpa who immigrated from West Prussia in 1923 when he was 9.
Growing up, Derek's family priorities consisted of church, family, work, music, and eating a lot. He now has his own family of three cute girls along with his wife Kara. Derek spends his time working on the farm, dancing with his girls, and making KZfaq videos.Website: farmerderek.com/
