We got hammered in the homestead by a big snow storm and it fought us off guard. I’m going to show you cooking in the masonry heater and getting the chickens all squared away after the snow storm.

He is a Livestock Gaurdian Dog! He is protecting the pigs from the wild boars that come out of the woods to mate the female 🫤. Bobby is so funny ,he's been taking claim to your house since you started building 🤣. You haven't cooked for us in a long time😊. Randy is great,good job 🎉. JO JO IN VT 💞

Knock the snow off the hay. Miller wet moldy hay is toxic to horses.

What a great idea for the pigs, love that chicken house, gathering the eggs will be so much easier. Randy you are a great carpenter, very gifted, you really do a good job on everything you do. Dutch you are blessed to have Randy. I would so love to have your fireplace, I love wood heat. The ability to cook and bake is also an awesome blessing.

Randy did a great job on the pigs new eating platform. I can see the pig laying down on the platform while they wait to be fed. Nice job. I also like what you did for the chickens they will be so much safer in the pen at any time you see hawks out. Nice job, Dutch. Great job and you seem so much happier getting all these TO DO LIST DONE

I don't know if anyone mentioned but clean up would be much easier in the coop if you lay linoleum. It will also help protect the wood from rot.

Simple living in Alaska did linoleum. It made their work so much easier. Great idea.

The chickens are happy to be outside! Its a shame the turkeys couldnt get through the automatic door. Guess that tractor coop will continue to be a turkey coop? I know the pigs love their new platform!

Have you thought of putting a cover of wood chips? It not only keeps the mud down, but neutralizes the pig smell. Pigs love rotting through wood chips. A carbonatious diaper...

Chickens should be happy going outside. The pigs have a nice platform to stand on. Animals are cared for good.

My sister-in-law regrets putting granite countertops in their house but my brother insisted on it and after they were sealed he is so picky about the top you couldn’t even put anything on top of them. He didn’t want even the groceries to be put it on the countertops.

Dutch! Call Daniel @ AFH about what he did with some of his old round hay rolls to help in his muddy pasture areas, it has made a big difference! It will be worth your time to call him🙂

You might want to look into pelletized bedding for the coop. Since we have started using it on top of DE our coops for our 60 plus chickens are much easier to clean. Our chickens seem healthier and we haven't had issues of unwanted mites etc....

Hello guys how are you all doing, this snow was so wet and heavy. We got 4 inches of snow here, it was a slusy mess and almost all gone by 12 noon LOL I like what you are doing with the chicken house it is really great. Love you guys God bless you all and until next time stay safe.

Chickens are going to be spoiled. The egg catcher is great. The pigs look happy eating out of the mud. They will probably eat anywhere you put food down. It’ll be good for their feet. Have you considered keeping a funnel with the pig food and Hunters food? The girls can put it into the fence above the feed boxes. They’re short and reaching over the fence makes it harder.

I've noticed some of your eggs have been pecked too. Never let the chooks eat their egg shells cause this can lead to them pecking their own eggs. If you want to dry the shells out & crush them they can have egg shells that way 🌏🦘🦘🦘

You are a good cook for a old man, just kidding 😂 But you can cook good with the stove above the fireplace 😁 The snow looks good but I'm to old to like it anymore, I'm 75 yr old grandma and don't get around to well so snow is out of the question ❓ Good to see Randy again always ready to help such a good guy. Love the new chicken egg holder. So much easier to get the eggs and not a scavenger hunt 😂 Randy made a great feeder for kune-kunes. They seemed to enjoy dryer feet while they ate.. all around win projects.👍. Blessings to Keeping it Dutch 🙏🫶🙏🥰

If you welded a rod across all the flip tabs on your egg door to your chicken coup you can put a handle on the rod. A rod is commonly used inside your car door much the same way.
