I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

I worked for Solar City in 2013 and when I was recruited to work there I spent an entire day researching Elon Musk. Solar City was being run by Elon's cousin but the mission and vision has been the same. I will give you one important example of how Elon Musk is great and different than Warren Buffett. When Warren Buffet bought Nevada Power In Las Vegas the first thing he did was increase the KW price per hour and the reason was for transmission of power. Instead of try to work and convert every house into solar his company Nevada Power made it difficult for the customers to get the net metering set up on their house so they couldn't start generating their own power. Elon's focus seems to also be for the better of the world and environment and society as a whole versus only about making the most money. He's the Greatest Man in USA and the world History.

It’s hard to get excited when a massive amount of people will have no way to earn money - what happens when everything is robotic? Robotic means traceable, trackable and controlled by a few ppl who do not have anyone’s best interest in mind except their own. Thats the world we are looking at.

I love that we're all sitting here enjoying a massively cut version of a talk. Ruth, as a 70 yo soon I applaud your 10 share. I have equally meager shares at 23 with a buy order in when the price drops to 167 for one more. My shares are for my grandsons retirement. I looked up KO shares since IPO and one share would be over 9000 now. And I am optimistic that TSLA will be significantly higher share count by that time in their life. I have now owned a Tesla with 13.6 for a week. I’ve used it every day and had three scary disengagement moments. They have all been lane split or merge situation where the car was getting scary close to a car in the other lane and still moving in the direction of the other car, closing the gap, rapidly. In two of those instances the “proximity alert” was going off and the car was still moving towards the other car. I love Elon and have been a big TSLA investor for 6 years, but I am very disheartened that my first hand opinion is that while FSD 13.6 is pretty amazing, it is not close to being ready.

Thank you for the information, I believe everyone should know about your experience. As an investor, which I am not, it is your responsibility to make sure this is common knowledge. My mother I sold timeshare together in Vail. It was our responsibility to make sure we informed our customers of how much timeshare had changed. We made sure people were never to have to worry about the old timeshare experience, and we changed the way people vacationed. As a shareholder why not be a representative of what is really gping, or change what he is doing by demanding shareholder meetings, insyead of having a totalitarian company where there are no checks and balances. Those that can, should, ypu are to be the speaker for those that can not speak fpr this company, you should as a shareholder, you are owners of this company, if you allow this than you will regret losing not just your money but ypur pride, and you have made the first brave comment I have seen, the world is watching us all countries of the world are watching us, as Americans we are known for breaking the mold, it is now in the shareholders hands to step up to plate and take care of your business. It is ypur businees, your corperation. Do not allow one speaker to build your business, all shareholders need to show unification, your loss wiill be his gain, one individual over all others? No!

Yay! A good meeting. I almost felt like it was 2014 again - things were very optimistic for Tesla and Elon back then. And thank god Shareholders (including me) voted in favor of Elon’s previously approved stock payment plan. If anyone deserves it, it’s Elon Musk.

Hahaha your not thinking deeply enough yes it will....in the future all building will be prefabricated by machines and assembled by machines with little human oversight....have you seen the new lay out bots ? And as a handyman home improvement carpenter....people won't spend the money on that in the future new housing will eventually be so cheap that people won't waste lots and lots of money fixing up old homes. It might not be in your lifetime depending on how old you are but they will take your job 100% prefabricated buildings are coming

the tesla fleet being able to be opted into is actually a major selling point, your car can now become an asset with you still having full useage of it. I work night shift so having it be in fleet during the day would be a great way too make money while I sleep

Now when he said they get no interventions in a week, he is clearly not telling the truth. All videos online shows FSD is much worse than that. Almost every drive has interventions. So, if he is lying about this, is he lying about anything else that can not be easily verified? Very disappointed.

There is a huge difference between self driving (which has a person behind the steering wheel) and robotaxi (which does not require a person behind the steering wheel), and robotaxi will not get government certification unless it works under all circumstances without fail. Self driving is like autopilot in a plane ... you still need a pilot to intervene if anything goes wrong.

Mars will be a horrible posting. The dust is highly abrasive as toxic to humans. Water is a non- renewable resource and of course there’s only enough “air” to create dust storms. Finally a year or two on Mars will cripple your bones and muscles. Return to Earth after 2 years will leave you permanently damaged.

I drive a lot in northerm MN, many very poor roads due to freeze cycle and frost heave, and like you my MY can’t deal well with that. Also trees close to the road and rural mailboxes cause phantom braking. It seems like an answer is a long way off.

There is some range loss at low temperatures. I have experienced about 30% loss at 10 degrees F. However, car has always started in cold weather. Statistically less fire hazard than ICE cars in crashes or otherwise, and they do not tend to explode.

Sometimes, it takes a while to do something extraordinary. If it only takes 8 years, it's still 10 times as fast as other companies who've tried and tried and failed. Elon has an excellent track record of accomplishments. FSD will happen despite your feeble attempts to undermine and discount all he's done... but then you'll just complain about what took so long. Complaints are remarkably easy to raise and pretty worthless (definitely not Lord-like) when compared to doing concrete work to improve circumstances instead of repeatedly whining. Elon sets a good example to emmulate.

I drove version 12 and in the first week I had 3 serious interventions….i am all for Tesla but not FSD give it more time and focus on convincing the general masses to drive an EV first and foremost full stop! That is the biggest challenge.

You bet the investor audience was speechless - but not like you probably think. Does anyone understand what Elon is talking about when he said FSD improvement has gotten difficult because Tesla can't find find interventions for training the FSD. Come-on, I can't drive much more than 5 miles in San Antonio without a serious intervention. Whole Mars had a major issue less than an hour into a recent SF drive with 12.4, aside from his FSD making multiple illegal maneuvers, and Black Tesla had a bunch of issues with 12.4. Is it because Elon is on 12.5 or maybe 13 already, or is he just feeding the shareholders B.S. Coming from an IT guy....sure FSD is freakin impressive for what it can do, and I do see FSD getting better over the years, and recently its improving quickly. However, when I hear these insane remarks from Elon about almost non-existent interventions, I start loosing confidence in Elon's truthfulness. So i totally get why the stock isn't moving on Elon's hype.

Thanks Farzad. In terms of intervention, we had FSD for a month and as much as it is impressive the way it can navigate around construction work and complex situations, we still have at least an intervention every few kilometers. And some basic random stuff like merging onto the highway still poses problems at times (which I thought was solved long ago). I'm glad the rate of improvement is going fast, but there are basic things that are still problematics here (We live in Alberta).

Can someone explain to me where the valuation comes from if bots are essentially replacing humans? If there are less people making money to pay for bots, self driving and other services, who becomes the consumer, governments? Am I renting my bot out to companies? What if I couldn’t have afforded a bot in the first place. If the cost of production goes down with the use of bots, plus less workers, which could create less demand, which further drives down cost and margins, and revenue, where do the lofty valuations come from? I’m just not imaginative enough to understand how this plays out well.

I can see in front of me that there will be tougher competition between the companies. Optimus can replace several other products which can lead to bankruptcies for other companies. less competition and prices can be kept up. it may compensate for a predicted population decline. the risk may be a monopoly position and cartel formation and that the companies agree on prices and market shares among themselves.
