received my hill pump Mark 5 with drypack yesterday and it is amazing it fills up the gun much more quickly than the cheap pmp I had before this and it's so solid and well made I'm expecting it to last for years.

I bought a brocock stirrup pump ~2008, it stopped working almost immediately so I returned it. I was kept waiting a long time trying to get it repaired/replaced and in the end the shop didn't exactly apologise but they gave me a Hill stirrup pump as a direct replacement. The Hill pump is great, it works so well by comparison to that first stirrup pump I owned it's like night and day. I've used the Hill since then to recharge my AA S400, to ~180bar and had no problems with the pump whatsoever.

Hi! Just found your channel. The way you conducted the interview, and asked the questions that you did (the price of the dessicant packs, can they be reused, etc.) shows that you care about us commoners out here, and that made me sub. Rare for me to do that after one vid but, hey... Very well done! Like my man Ahh-nold says..."Owl be back!"...

Im going to buy one of the hill mark 5 pumps for my air arms s510 when i have the money for it Everyone loves scuba tanks because there quick and require no effort, but a scuba tank runs out of air, and they get cut in half when they fail their safety test as said in the video A pump is something i see as an item for life, as long as its maintained, which should be cheaper than filling a scuba tank or buying a new one when its failed And manual effort on a pump necer runs out, usually i shoot with friends and family, and we can take it in turns pumping Also, a tank is so heavy and bulky its sometimes not good carrying it across fields and wading through ditches with it I have a massive gun bag for my rifle, as i have a bipod, night vision scope, infra red illuminator, battery packs and pellet tins, i have a spare compartment in my rifle bag that i can dedicate to a pump, i would not like a scuba tank in my rifle bag

If these pumps were built around the principal of a rowing machine then the process would be much less exhausting. ( Consider the setup of the reclining bicycle, where your back is braced against the backrest and your legs can push more efficiently. Cheers from Downunder.

I originally had an FX 4 stage pump, it lasted about a year and wasn't really stripe able, I burnt out the orings from pumping up my rifles in a few minute by going hell for leather.( I did service it and it didn't last that long before I had problems again. I had slowed down to stop me from wrecking the orings.) You can service them but its a real sod till you work out how to disassemble them. I then Bourght the Hills mk4 when it first came out and thats been a good few years, If you use the supplied lub it will out last anything from FX or other makes. I don't pump mine always with the recommended way as I pretty tall and suffer with Arthris in most of my joints so its not always practical to bent at the knees for a length of time. I still will not go over to a bottle. I bought my Hills pump from a well known UK company and thought it came with a dry pack, it didn't and I got intouvch with HIlls andt he customer service was excellent. If i manged to kill this one like the FX I know I could strip and repair it easily and if not I'd happily buy another as they are fantastic pumps.

i had one of the 1st air rifle hills pumps with out the filter, and i used it to pump my stealth 2000 up a mammoth task but it also put as said damp in the bottle so i stopped useing it after and bought a dive bottle, think the pump is in the shed still lol,.....one question that did cross my mind is stirrup pumps did hills make those and were did they come in the history if they did ...top show chaps well done.

@airheads91665 жыл бұрын
What I don't understand is the price you can get a dive bottle for a bit cheaper and using a bottle is better for your rifle as you don't keep opening and closing the valve as you pump. I could understand it more if you buy one for say £100 to save money.
@hotair42695 жыл бұрын
Some people simply don't like high pressure air bottles, some people can't get to a dive shop, some people want the independence associated with having a pump . You can buy £100 pumps but they don't have the same benefits and quality of the Hills stuff .
@airgunsandstuffyorkshire2695 жыл бұрын
Approximately £6 a year once u bought the pump. Costs me £6 a fill on my bottle so if it works it's a no brainer.

You know that cheap pumps put moisture into your gun and eventually will cause corrosion issues ( we have seen it already multiple times) . Hills make the best pumps and sadly you have to pay for that, but at least with the moisture trap fitted it won't ruin your gun .
