Wondering how more emissions helps your Duramax? So are we, check out this video as Jake answers some questions that we got from customers and Erik goes through the full install of the filter system on a 2020 L5P Duramax Truck.

Has anyone intalled and ran it for a while yet? Any reviews? I just bought it but seen that the heat shield wont go back on that sucks or is it not that big of a deal?

@Bankspower Does anyone know if the banks or other brand air intake systems have any clearance issues with this installed?

It shouldn't have any clearance issues. This truck is equipped with an S&B intake and there was a ton of room.

We are not sure as we only work on Duramax trucks but that would be an excellent question for FASS EGR Solutions themselves!

looking at fassegrsolutions.com it appears they only have up to 2019 Ford applications available

Obviously that filter is going to get very hot and retain that heat in order to keep clean (regenerate itself). On top of that there is no more lower heat shield. I fully understand the benefit here but that much heat held right there is a HUGE concern of mine. Then "ask your dealer if this device voids warranty" is not an answer to that question. It will absolutely void a warranty if GM knows about it. Finally, deleting a vehicle (removing or modifying emissions equipment) is not a state law it is a federal law. States and counties within states decide on emission inspections / testing. Just because a state may not have a current inspection test requirement for licensing or renewal does not make it legal in those states to delete.

We will be testing the under-hood temperatures here shortly to see what difference adding this filter will make. We have seen a drastic difference in Dealer Warranty leniency, some dealers are totally fine with a 10" lift and others won't even allow for a leveling kit. It all depends on your local dealer and the relationship you have with them, ultimately they are supposed to prove the modification caused the issue but you will likely have to push that to a legal battle before they will admit anything. We do not advocate deleting in any way shape or form but we are just addressing the already loud customer response to a product that is adding emissions to a diesel truck.

True but last I looked they don't follow their emissions standards my only gripe with it is it seems unnecessary lowering emissions is cool but why make such a complex unit to do it when we could be like fass or speed of air their are other ways instead we are using expensive and complex pieces of equipment and an ammonia you can't tell me that is the only way their is to decrease emissions and to go with I don't know if this is true but their talk of evidence linking the death of wild life off the side of highways to to Def don't know how true it is but that is something

Soooo, you are worried about heat from this egr filter..... but not the stock egr heat issues? Or the SCR on the back if the turbo.... Or the downpipe right there? Mkayyyy. I agree 100% removal is the best, but not everyone has that option. This is a step in the right direction for those people. In your defense, ill be removing scr,dpf, def and adding thermal wrap to my downpipe and most of the exhaust near the cab.
