Can someone explain??.. Liion and lipo batteries require about 4.2 to 4.35 volts to fully charge..so whats the use of more voltage??. I can't find an explaination for how it makes use of the higher voltage

You didn't even explain how it works.. other than pump power till 50%.. I think majority of people know more power = faster charging, so you're basically saying just get a charger that charges to 5amps.

More power doesn't necessarily mean faster charging. Let's take a laptop's charger that can also be plugged into a phone. The laptop charger puts out a voltage of 20-25V while the most basic phone chargers are 5-9V. You'll be overheating your phone and it'll basically die or not perform as well anymore. But, this is for phones that don't do fast-charging. I haven't confirmed if this is a safe practice for phones like the LG V20 that comes with its own Fast-Charger.

ozfartface The more amps you give the faster it will charge the amp defines the battery capacity ! Charging slow will increase battery life cycle

@@ozfartface1914 in DC (direct curent) P=V.I, so power is tension (voltage) by intensity (ampere). But as for USB it's most of the time 5V, you may think that intensity (or amplitude) is the power. Basicaly, if you have a 2A charger, it's a 10W charger (power is in Watt). Qualcomm give more power by using 9 to 20V (used in quick charge and samsung fast charge).

Thumbs down. Nothing was explained about lithium battery technology. Nothing was explained about its charging curve. Nothing was explained about effect of QC on it. Can somebody please lend me a few hundred thumbs down ability so I can use all of it on this video.

I just bought a belkin 10 watt 2.1 amp charger. it charges my phone in 10 minutes. I don't know if it's damaging it but it's getting the job done very fast.

Robert Wisniewski actually more like 15 to 20 minutes but the phone is a Samsung Galaxy grand prime. and I use it to charge my vaporizer that holds 2 18650,s and it charges that in a good amount of time also. great charger. 10 watts at 2amps.

voltage is potential difference it causes the current to flow..our phone battery is 3.7volt and its capacity is designated in 'mAh' that's the unit of current so for changing we need just a potential difference more thn the Phn battery n a flow of current... charging is same like filling a bucket with water like u say its capacity is 20 liter so u fill it with some rate like 1 liter per sec so u need 20 sec to fill it completely...same is case of our battery u need more current rate for fast charging n not the potential difference like 9V not required.. charger with 5 V n 2A or 3A will do fast charging...its the current not the volt... research ur basic concepts about electricity.

Shilpi Srivastava I have that same question and nobody seems to know the answer. For example, I have my "Adaptive Fast Charging" wall outlet but do not have the cable that came with it. Do I have to have a specific cable for fast charging or will any 3.0 usb to micro usb work?

The only special thing the cable needs is to be thick enough to handle the current. I essentially destroyed (almost melted) an ordinary Samsung cable I had for my A5 when using my A9 Pro quick charger. So I really think the video should mention that ordinary charging cables can't handle the current load, and that quick charging cables included with quick chargers are more robust.

My HTC One X9 chipset is Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10. At HTC India website (www.htc.com/in/smartphones/htc-one-x9/), they say something like 'Fast charging (5V/1.5A)' which doesn't sound faster obviously. My Note 2 was still faster (5V/2A). Do you think my HTC phone support faster charging (higher voltages)?
