Heath, Rachel you probably have the material laying around , most of it. The push block can cycle and return back to home without touching the handle. Guessing if you purchased materials $30 to $40 super easy. If my auto cycle stops working. I already have the fix for my machine, if it’s outrageous to fix. Great video. Rachel your work ethics are impressive.

I used to have an MS390, it was a good saw. I hired someone to help me cut and the moron put straight gas in it and burned it up. He was supposed to have a degree in forestry. I now use an Echo590 Timberwolf. I like it better than the Stihl, but the Stihl was a good saw.

I have like 8 or 9 hours crushing barley pop cans with a sledge... TMI..lol That bark is good for fire starting, save it! back to the Deli tomorrow, but not yet!

Hi Heath ,here is a suggestion for your samurai cut off saw, if you fix a bar to the top of the blue guard then hang a short chain from it at the appropriate distance it may be a n easy fix as it can be set to whatever cutting length that you may require

Does your fan kick on much on your wood splitter? I’m always trying to see it lol.

WOW the Samurai is quick, but it must cost over $15000. And your All Wood splitter I guest also mush cost over $15000. For that $30000 You can buy a nice processor all in one easy to tow and set up. Ron USCG RET

Germany has a system that does everything from cutting the tree down stripping the tree cutting the length splitting and loading on a trailer or truck.

Update on the fire loss , 2 band saws, 1 drill press, 2 weed trimmers, 1 leaf blower, 1 table saw and 4 chainsaws and the wife still says I can only replace 1 chainsaw so I agreed....she looked me dead in the eye and said "no you're not getting the 500i" . Moral of the story is be careful what you say to the wife you never know when they're actually listening 😂

I would love to have that samurai cutter, i love splitting wood but hate to cut it into rounds. I have that same tractor (kioti ck 3510Se). Boy could i use that behind it!!

Nice set up! What rpm are you running your Balfor saw at? I run my engine speed at 1800-1900 rpm, yours sounds faster. Also balfor makes an outfeed extension so you wouldn't need the roller stand.

You guys should try to figure out how to get the logs to fall on the splitter table somehow.

Seems this situation would be a perfect place for that monstrous firewood table. - Also, we've watched the samurai a lot. It badly needs a robust stop that can drop out of the way. Each cut uses a little time and effort/concentration more than it should to adjusr it to the right place for cutting. And it wouldn't hurt to have a powered converyor to carry those fence posts on thru the samurai. If you're looking for speed, the fewer steps the better. The shorter those steps, the better. The more work the machinery can do speedily, the better.....And of course, many hands make light work. - Hope you can stay out of the mud.

Needed someone to clean the split wood out of the way. Wood piling up all over the guy splitting.

Forget the laser pro sizer just use whiskers, they cost about $0.50 and works faster plus no batteries nd no worries about knocking it. Laser is just a wast of money and more of a toy then anything else. Whiskers are faster, cheaper, works in all weather and hey can take hits and just keep working plus the ones I have on my saw have been there for 2 years now and still works

Where oh where is the elevator dropping the splits into a tote saves even more backache. But you three people have shown how fast doing it with machinery really is. But as I say with totes it would have been a lot easier and faster. Especially if there's forks on the tractor loader.

I don't understand why the cordwood saw has a "table" on the "drop" side of the blade; operator has to reach for each drop after a cut. Also the cut-off is left "loitering" in the cut zone. Why not let gravity take the drop away, per 100 years of cordwood saw design?
