ALWAYS remove the negative post first and keep it insulated by wrapping a rag around it and then remove the positive terminal. When reattaching to the new battery install the positive first then the negative. If the positive terminal is removed first you may damage your computer or modules which could cost thousands.

Thank you for this info what are those two ends you mentioned and what are they for I can't see these 2 on my Autozone battery - they installed the battery 1.9 years ago and now are exchanging them with a new one. I don't know any go this so the store clerk that time offered to install it for me. The clerk left the company so I got a new battery as Warranty exchanged and I don't see the white exhaust and the other one you mentioned from the original BMW battery. Will I look for those? can I buy them from auto zone. what are they called. Will I mess the car if I don't have those two on the battery? Please explain. thanks

how would I know what battery to buy for my 2011 BMW 328I when I called the dealership they will charge me around 700 and that’s with a discount for battery parts and labor I want to just buy it myself and see if I can have someone replace it. Have a 2009 3 28i BMW went to Napa Auto parts gave them my VIN number to give me a new battery a friend of mine put the battery in and reprogrammed it it started I don't drive it a lot so I didn't drive it Mary won't restart again is it because I didn't drive it or is it a bad battery or it's needs to be programmed and jumped?

Hi guys I need some help please, as I was trying to locate my PDC module as it's not working, I came across two wires, they are black and yellow wrapped around each other, you can see them at 0:17 coming out from under the trim by the wheel arch and go down toward the battery, mine were cut and soldered to a resistor and I have no idea what they're for or what were they connected to before the previous owner did what he did, can anyone please tell me what are they.
