About this video: This production features MBTA Commuter Rail and Amtrak trains moving at high speeds all around Eastern Massachusetts. All MBTA trains seen here were filmed on the Newburyport/Rockport, Haverhill, Lowell, Framingham/Worcester, Franklin, Providence/Stoughton, or Middleborough/Lakeville lines. Amtrak trains featured include the Downeaster, as well as Northeast Regionals and Acelas along the Northeast Corridor.

The MBTA trains in this video with that Amtrak car were track inspection trains. MBTA doesn’t have their own dedicated coach for rail inspecting so they use Amtrak’s about 3 to 4 times per year
