Front indeed softest, rear stiffest. E46s like some camber and soft front swaybars to counter understeer. mij driving technique still has to improve tho. En BHT performance FTW!

Yess, i did this. It is really night and day. Clutch is a lot more natural and direct. Verry easy to do just remove the narrow insert and fit the hose back on. Best free mod you can do!

Airbox is still standard, cold air is good air 😅 nothing to be had by changing it for open filter at 200hp. Traction control was fully of, 1 press + 1 long press. You can see the illuminated light onder the tacometer (right side of steering wheel) and in the middle.

@@e46trackd45 the handbrake light needs to be on doesnt it for traction to be fully off? Also my 320d has turbo whistle 24/7 and very loud poooowwww when i let of gas i never heard yours do that? No aftermarket modifications done all oem

@@rulyaparr mine does that also, but only when on boost and let of below 3000rpm, then he also does phuu 😅 if yours is fully stock i suggest you look at the flexijoint... mine did that also when that was broken. And correct handbrakelight was on.

The exhaust is fully straight through, no cats, no muffler. The blowoff you can't hear at higher rpms (3000 and above). If you floor it at 2000 and let it come on boost and let of the blowoff is still there. But i'll be changing it soon (it's too loud and just childisch with straightpipe) with 3inch (egt's get high) no cats and little muffler. She's got 176000 kms on the clock, last 35000 on full chat 😅

@@e46trackd45 that is a nice build, my friend has a nonfl and that blows off but not like an owl, another friend has facelift and that is straight out like an owl, thats why i was so curious about, and in the video sounds so quiet

@@MaxyVideos i think it's the way the turbo and wastegate is so that it makes that sound, its like you say a phuuuuw 😅

@@MaxyVideos normally with a little muffler it's gone i think. Bigger turbo and it's difinitely gone i suppose 😉

What vibrations are you experiencing?

Yess i did, e46 m3 mounts. You can live with them but they are a bit harsh (on idle). mine is set to run idle at 950rpm aprox and then the vibrations are as good as gone. Plug and play, exact same size and mounting.

@@M-POWER777 about 900 euro for the little engine mods it has. Intercooler i did myself. BHT just did the tune

@@e46trackd453 years later here but thank the algorithm😅that’s actually crazy 7 laps on half a tank as I’ve taken both a stage 1 420d (2017) and got 4 laps half a tank with a tiny bit left, then took my stage 2 335d and got 2 laps half a tank. Of course one is 2.0 twinscroll and one is 3.0 twin turbo but still it just shows you can have equal amount of fun for even less fuel with just a single turbo stage one. BMW from that era is amazing even to this day!

Also building a donorengine m47 same as mine for 330-350 hp 😬😅

I agree, after this i went to a trackday in Clastres. Circuit was a lot smaller and more shifting, less momentum. There my clutch was starting to slip bcs i didn't revmatch in downshifts. On the road i do it all the time but on the ring i am still a bit scared to do it bcs if i did something wrong, the consecuences are big (no runoff😅). So in Clastres i decided to start training (lots of runoff) and on my last visit to the ring i already did the heel and toe as much as i could and went suprisingly well. I also agree that trailbraking would help, saw a video of Robert from apex explaining this and saw that it also aplied to me. Giving the front a bit more weight with braking so the car turns in better. Totally agree with you 😊

@@e46trackd45 Nice to hear. I can really recommend the Driver61 channel for videos about racing techniques like trail braking. Watching this video really made me want to take my E46 330d to the Ring ... but I'm not going to. Too dangerous. Before going on the Nordschleife, I first need a beater track car I can write off if necessary 😅

5 speed gearbox, rebuild engine that is comming will have 6speed

I used 10w40, street and track. Just a bit thicker than standard bcs the turbo was on it's way out haha... i'm now building a new engine (M47 also) wich i will use normal 5w30. If the oil pressures stay ok it's all good. Otherwise i'll go a little thicker

@@e46trackd45 isn't 5w40 for street and 5w50 ok for track?i have a 1749v too(in alfa,but im going to buy 320d)use 5w40 only,500+km on dash zero issues,original turbo!On Mobile1 oil guide says i can use 5w50 too.What is your oil temps at the track?

@@sindstor my temps at track where insane haha, 130 degrees for oil, 750 egt in downpipe, bcs injectors where maxxed out. And never really had a problem thats why i used a 40 in stead of 30. 50 is a lot i think, only worth it if it is a track only car with zero street miles
