I love how he turns on the heating on his way back to cool off the engine, doesn't let the engine speed go down, engine breaks a lot, tests his steering response pets his dashboard. He really loves his car and takes good care of that legend.

​@@kevinsantos7031 The best part isnt the Nürburgring by itself tho. The entire surrounding area (it's called "Eifel") has awesome twisty roads that any motorsport enthusiast will be sure to enjoy! Might not be advised to drive these roads in the same speed as the Nürburgring but I can assure you theyre awesome!

You are an _extremely_ skilled driver. You are also extremely courageous. You would never catch me dead topping out a RWD drift rocket even on perfect track day conditions. I did have to clench my butt a few times during this video. But this is probably the greatest exhibition of driving skill I have seen on KZfaq in literal years. Congratulations.

What's the accuracy? Is it that he is able to downshift to the same rpms each time?

@@a-superblender2742 yes and no. When you brake the car, you can turn the wheels into the corner and then hit the gas. Downshifting simply slows the car down, but if u are at the right rpm range, you can glide through the corner. If your revs are too low, then you will probably understeer.

Yea Nurburgring doesn’t promote competitive racing for beginners, which the drivers on the weekends mostly, for the rest of the week it’s mainly used as a testing ground for cars, or on rare occasions races

It's always the same. You see owners of really expensive cars (BMW, Porsche) and they drive like shit. Then you see guys like these with a (don't know) 20.000€ car and they absolutely dominate. I know this from skiing when I was a boy. I had very old equipment from my father. But I won all the races against the snobs with their 1000 € equipment.

@@selcukektas5532 Accelerating and braking gives stability and controllability if you don't overdo it. At that point he had his foot off the throttle pedal and was just coasting through the corner. With left foot braking you can keep your right foot on the throttle pedal the entire time in between shifts and your left foot on the brake. So when you need a quick and short moment of braking you have your foot already in the position and can react almost instantaniously. This also gives you confidence , which could have helped in this situation, and as a bonus also faster laptimes.

Excelent driver, this is one of the most enjoyable Nurburgring onboards i've seen. Great shift work, clean, patient with the overtakes and fast as hell when the track clears. Its also great to see a CA18 S13 haul ass, those engines are underrated.

@@sethh8892 it gets the revs higher without doing a burn out which means faster acceleration to get around that car. However it's more wear on the clutch

@@twistedjosh14 Pressing the clutch twice is still redundant... Just hold the clutch longer. Double pressing a clutch doesn't make a car faster. Thats less time without output to the wheels. If he has a basic synchronized manual transmission, it seems completely useless.

@@r3v0_yt25 he tapped on the dash to get the fuel gauge to start working again, it's a common S13 chassis problem. If you look back through the video you will see the fuel gauge working and when he taps on the dash it isn't working at that moment while also the driver is clearly looking at the fuel gauge too. Please don't cry.

@@jeff5101 You're thinking of double clutching not heel toe. Heel toe is good for not upsetting the balance of the car that is its main purpose. double clutching is good with old cars with worn synchros though.
