This is how I flush the heater core on any vehicle, for 2 reasons. One being, it's much easier to flush them next time because they will most likely get filled with chunks again. Two being I don't have to deal with any of the connections that hook up to the heater core itself. Nothing original to flushing a heater core but I much prefer to do it this way. I didn't record the heat temp in the front of the truck but I was getting 140 degrees after the flush. Like I said, for me, the $5 connectors are a life saver. I'm sure there's videos doing this method but I figured I'd upload a little video about how I do it.

I forgot to mention a few things somehow as well. This is a good method to have setup if your heater core leaks out and you can't change it immediately. You can bypass the heater core completely by simply connecting the 2 hoses into each other before going to the core. Hope this helps!

I back flushed my front...new thermostat..good heat,no rear heat. Now year or so later...no front heat or rear. New blend door as it was missing "used truck" i did it manualy from hot to cold. I figure if the rear is nasty it will mess up the front core . So better flush up front and this method on rear. Swore both hoses were warm in rear but its been a while. Thx for posting this. Youtibe videos have saved me so many thousand over the years.

Awesome work-around. Dealing with this now and the hoses are fine but just getting them off the core inlet and outlet so too difficult for the effort. This makes it easy. Maybe I’ll get a couple years too. Thank you!

Multi-stage/zone heating systems are not easy to fully bleed air from; getting 106F air there at the back is a good indication that you’ve accomplished a proper cooling system fill/bleed.

My truck has the same set up at the firewall. you can unclamp the two hoses from the front lines like you did in the back. Same size adapters still would be easy to do

You have to flush them both individually like it did in the video. The second one is in the back behind the rear passenger wheel

Did you disconnect the rear hoses in the front in order to flush the front core or did you leave those connected as well?

So you butchered up the lines cuz you're too cheap to have it professionally done this is the reason why used vehicles are so f***** up highest purchase 2 used vehicles in the crack that has been done to both of those vehicles I have replaced so much stuff what you guys fit failed to realize when you modify these vehicles if you're not upgrading and you're just sticking stuff in it your shortening the time that you can use that vehicle on the road meaning if you're going on a long trip you're bound to have a problem putting those two nipples in there for more links to have a leak if you're out on the road in the summertime the lines are getting hot it's hot outside you stand a chance of them popping or springing a leak now you on the side of the road what is so hard how about spending a couple hundred bucks that have it done correctly or hundred dollars trust me I'm not trying to be funny already got to get on you I'm saying you making this a problem for yourself
