Hah this is fitting. I just got home from flying all day at the club. (S.H.A.R.K.S) had this and the 70mm. Both are amazing but man the 80mm just commands the sky. It's looks and sound are so good.

I have to agree that the 80mm class is the fastest. I had an 80 mm Phantom and it out performed and was faster than any 70 or 90mm I have.

You fried the battery because of the multiple vertical climbs. That also caused the battery to sag while bringing your air speed to near zero at the top before beginning the dive. All not ideal if you're going for a record speed pass. Next time try a shallow climb to preserve the battery before diving, and allow the model enough room to build speed.

Nate, if memory serves, I'm thinking you just tied with the top speed of your Version-1 70mm Viper.(yeah, I've been around for a while) It, too, clocked in at 117 mph. Love your channel and everything you guys share with us, good or not-so-good (like the "Death Valley durability test you performed with the Arrows Marlin back in the day, which spurred me to make that plane my first EDF) Keep bringing us this great content and commentary!

Full charge yeah! Usually a person doesn’t fly full throttle like that. I could get a longer flight time with a larger battery, but honestly four minutes is usually max flight time on this particular EDF. Other electrics can fly for an hour or longer if you want. This is just a fun flyer, not very efficient. 👍😎⚓️

Nate if you have the time I was just wondering which of your beautiful E-Flite F-16s you enjoy more the 70mm Thunderbird or this 80mm Falcon? Great video guys!

Oooh, good question!! I get more of an adrenaline rush when I fly my 80mm and it is just more “jaw dropping” to fly than the smaller Thunderbirds. However I feel more confident and comfortable flying my Thunderbirds and am more willing to try new maneuvers with it. If I could only buy one, though… probably the Thunderbirds! Hope this helps! Seriously sailors. I was mesmerized watching that second flight. I got this huge mega perma smile on my face and it's watching Nate fly that jet wow ever exciting stuff. This is I'm starting late into this Hobby but someday I hope to aspire to be able to do what you guys just did in fact my next major purchase will be the haboo ready to fly. If memory serves me, this jet tied for #1 with your speed test of the 70mm E-Flight Viper. If you have tested the Viper 90mm I missed it.

Flew my Habu SS today after I got off work. I'm curious of how fast it will go. I know it won't set any speed records. But that one you flew......super fast. Excellent video Nate & Abby!! 😊⚓

I put the GPS in my Habu several times, and it says 94 flat and level, 97 in a slight dive. I have the larger grass gear on it so that slows it quite a bit. If you took the gear off it would be over 100mph

Ice never been on an airfield or the deck of a carrier when a jet flies by, or does a flyby, but I think this is pretty close to sounding like the real thing. Not the volume or decibels of course, but the sound.

Hi rc sailors I really want to get in to the hobby of flying rc planes I am doing research and saving up for a good beginner plane and but I would like to know if you ever tested or are going to test the: FMS 1220mm (48") Ranger RTF (Floats included) and yes I know KZfaq is full of videos about this plane but I like your channel the most I just like the way you guys are explaining about the plane and always excited about it

If you are landing in either low rates or safe mode, after landing you can turn off safe and/or switch to high rates to make a sharper turn while taxiing on the runway. It should turn a lot faster than what it did for you in this video on the runway. Nice to see how fast it can go.

If you push the EDF faster then what it's designed to do would it make the engine torque out, either engine or battery or both die??? Or is there a limit that really sets the maximum speed even when speeding full throttle from a climb?

I had messaged you few months back and was complimenting you on how much you have progressed flying RC Airplanes but I think that no one ever gives you credit because you also can fly Drones and Helis and not only is your "Air-Game" really AWESOME....You also are a really good driver with RC's....buggies,truggies,crawlerz,basherz,monster trucks and HELL I watched you riding a wheelie on a dirt bike with Barbie on the back holding on for dear life LoL! You guys actually made me wanna try flying again since I literally havent flew an RC airplane since high school 30yrs ago!!!! Nate, been watching your channel for quite a while now and 1 plane I can think of I have not seen you fly yet is a Twisted Hobbies\RC Factory monoplane. I just got a 39 inch Edge 540 and its absolutely amazing! A totally different flight experience. I just went with the recommended power pack and 3s lipo. I saw how much you enjoyed the Extra 300 and the Ultimate, so I kno you would fall in love as quick as I did. I'm doing the 24 inch Crack Yak next!

Hobby zone supercub all day. Affordable , easy to fly , safe x or whatever . Can use floats , has many and versatile upgrades. I would recommend mono coat for strength. I paid 175. U.s. for mine and have ten yr.s and thousands of hr.s on it. Cheers

Agreed, I got 142 mph out my Vulcan, although strong tail wind and out a dive. Level flight, no dive, I get 110 mph consistently.

@@neilhands1708 110 mph is about right standard . I installed an fMS 1900kv pro fan with thrust pipe ,high timing and I get level flight 139mph and 146mph out of dives .
