I can not evaluate your future potential as a competitive swimmer . What I can tell you is that you have made competitive swimming compelling to watch and for anyone to undertake on their own level. I respect your honesty in this video. I’m a stay at home mom (I swam year round from age 6-the end of high school) so I really miss it. I’d love to see you complete at the Paris Olympics in 2024 🙌🏻 but even if you don’t, that’s cool too. Your priorities are different now that you have children and it makes it tough sometimes to put all of your attention on one thing.

Those retired friends of yours really should consider trying out a masters club. We have people of all levels on mine, Olympians to beginners and everything in between, all united by their love for this sport. Some compete at swim meets (I'll be at masters nationals coming up in a week!) some do open water races and some just come to practice. And it all fits with the other priorities that you have in your life. And there's still plenty to inspire you too. There's a woman who will be at nationals who is 101 years old and still swims butterfly - that's about inspiring as it gets!
