Blake impersonated a spirit I felt when I was a kid. It is so healing to feel this energy again.

I had this internal argument myself but couldn't decide. That's probably how I ended up riding a 29x3.0 hardtail. So far it's taken everything I've thrown at it including "The Whole Enchilada" down in MOAB, UT. Hardtails all day everyday!

I don´t care about the numbers, Fatbike wins for the tire sound alone.

my friend has a cruiser with those ridiculous wide plushy tires.. the chillest urban ride you could ask for. it gives the rider that 'monster truck' vibe plus the stopping power is just impressive. quite a confident fluffy stress free sort of riding.

I have a hardtail, which is so much fun. Saying that I have never been on a full suspension or a fat bike. Definitely not an ebike, no matter how much I struggle up hill, no ebike for me.

Super entertaining Blake! I too have a fatty in my quiver. I definitely recommend everyone to get one if they love riding bikes. They are quirky just as Blake states, but they are a load of fun and always bring a smile to my face; on pretty much any condition! About 15% slower everywhere but surprisingly fast downhill! You will surprise your friends with the rumble of the huge tires on the ground behind them! Silly fun actually! Plus you can have snow bike epics too. Very different. Don’t forget to pack the flask! Thanks Blake!

Cool video. Basically confirmed the fatty is not the built for flat out speed. I mainly ride it when I know I'm not going to be going fast, because the geometry works better for lower speeds where a slacker shreddy bike tends to feel floppy.

Haha absolutely brilliant video! Just get better every time. I have both and since getting a fatty (stuck some manitou forks on) it's my only ride . Yer hard tile is probably a bit more nimble but no where near as much fun. That rumble of them big tyres drowns out that shitty motor sound of ebikes 👌 Riding is all about having a laugh , unless it's an ebike

The real benefit to fat tyres just has to be the comfort riding down harder terrain where bumps and roots are just nullified.

I watched the whole video just to hear the doc looking guy say GREAT SCOTT. Still not convinced I need a fatbike over my hardtail, even for Canada winters. Hardtail seems to serve me just as well in winter as a fatbike would.

fatbikes are always fun, but they really shine in snow. Where I'm from the fatty with studded tires is next level singletrack fun. Full sus for the warm season.

13.2kg? That's about 8kg lighter than mine. But mine has a Rohloff hub, is Aluminium, has a pack rack and a saddle bag. I ride mine over winter in snow / mud, which is where it can't be beat. Also, the fat bike brings more smiles to me and other trail users than any other bike I own. Riding isn't always about going from A to B in the shortest time possible.

We have groomed trails at our x-country ski area that are specifically for fat bikes, no MTB allowed. Put studded tires on the fatty and get after it!
