Saber's True Name: Yamato Takeru, the legendary ancient Japanese prince, the sword shown in his NP is Kusanagi, the same sword wielded by Ibuki Douji. Interestingly in FSR Yamato Takeru's gender is shown as "unknown", probably due to him dressed up as a woman before according to the Kojiki, he's like a combination of Chevalier D'Eon and Artoria.

I like the raging and coiling phantasmic serpents that go along with the sword blast of the _Ame-no-Murakumo no tsurugi._ It is the same animation with the calamitous serpents in _Ibuki-Douji's_ noble phantasm, who funny enough, is a divided spirit of _Yamata-no-Orochi._

Interesting that you brought up Ibuki-Douji, because there are quite a few things that are similar between the two Sabers' noble phantasm. In Ibuki-Douji's noble phantasm, she pulled out the legendary sword, stirred the sea and heavens to rage, while the titanic 8-headed serpent of calamity rose up from the storm. As the serpent engulfed and overwhelmed the enemies, Ibuki-Douji then drew the blade, and in one upward strike, she slashed the entire enemies on the screen, parting the dark clouds and the raging storm away to let the glorious sun came into view. Meanwhile, in Yamato Takeru's noble phantasm, as depicted in the video, he awakened the blade in a surging power that is likened to a raging sea-storm. This is further reinforced with the name of the technique, _The Eight-Current Raging Storm._ There is also the 8-headed serpent imagery, but interesting enough, the prince said *_"Be purified_* by my sword!" This is interesting, because this is also in the correlation with the appearance of _"The Sun"_ in Ibuki-Douji's noble phantasm. In the Japanese mythology, it's true that Ame-no-Murakumo no Tsurugi (later known as Kusanagi no Tsurugi) is fashioned from the tail bone of the dreaded _Yamato no Orochi_ by the mischievous God of Sea and Storm, *_Takehaya Susanoo,_* whose scheme brought low the calamitous serpent However, Takehaya Susanoo didn't use the sword. In fact, he presented the blade as a sort-of an olive branch to his sister, the chief of the gods, the sun goddess *_Amaterasu-Omikami,_* whose power are often invoked in many _purification rituals._ It won't be a surprise if Amaterasu herself would consecrate and purify the gifted sword upon receiving it, since the sword would later be passed down to her descendants. It's nice to see the attention to the details. Iouri had used a command spell to forbid Saber from using his noble phantasm. As such, he also had to use another command spell to allow Saber to use his noble phantasm.

@@maxjpzA NP (Noble Phantasm) is basically a servants key possession or ability that can pretty much tell you who they are at first glance once seen. For instance, The sword excalibur can easily show someone that the servant is King Arthur or The Cursed Spear known as Gae Bolg would show you that the servant is Cu Chulain or if you notice a servant do the Eight Boat Leap (Dan Ora Hasou Tobi) That could possibly give you an idea that the servant in question is a version of Yoshitsune. It's not always that obvious but just know that a Noble Phantasm was something that played a role in that servant's life, tale, or legend.
