Jim Croce needs to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

It is difficult to overstate how popular Jim Croce was when I was in high school. You couldn't turn on the radio without hearing one of his beautiful songs

I’m 70 years old. My teen years were filled with Jim’s music. I still listen to his albums on vinyl! This was a great story that bright back great memories. Lost him way too soon.

I had no idea of A.J.'s story. Beautiful, tragic, triumphant. What a talented and inspirational man.

I just started crying when I heard that after his Father died and his Mother saw another man later on that man beat him severely and he lost his eye sight. Also, hearing that out of respect for his Dad he could not touch his music until many many years. A.J. also lost his wife. He has suffered terribly in this life but his attitude and outlook on life is still positive and hopeful. He is a graceful man and I wish him only the best. He is not just a worthy legacy but the great legacy of the great late Jim Croce. His Father would be proud of him.

Jim's music still moves me. I'm so happy AJ has embraced his Dad's music. So many great songs!

I was laying in a hospital bed after a near fatal head-on collision (July 3, 1973) when I heard the news of his death. I was devastated! Jim's music spoke to my soul more than any musician's had before. His music will live in me and still be here long after I am gone.

I feel a real connection to Jim and his music. My dad loved his songs and died just 6 months after Jim did. I was 9 and it left a giant hole in my life, but listening to 'Bad Bad Leroy Brown' and 'Time In a Bottle' brings my daddy back to me for just a little while

Croce played at my elementary school in early 70’s right before the crash. He had just become famous and most would’ve canceled those low paying school concerts but not Jim Croce he was a man of his word. For years I never knew how our school got a famous star to play for us and then I heard the story of how he kept his word to all the small schools he had booked even after he several 1 hits. I was in 2 or 3rd grade. Thank you Jim.

AJ, your father was one of my biggest influences in playing the guitar and my learning how to learn finger picking. I remember saving up and I have all three music books for his three albums. I think it's time someone brings Jim Croce back in the public's eyes and who better than his son. You are a great talent and I'm sure your father is looking down and smiling! I love, love, loved Jim Croce’s music, still do. He had an honest invisibility to the feelings of the soul. What a great tribute to the Musical artist so many of us listened to. I grew up in the 70's, not too far from Jim's home in the suburbs of Philly. I've always loved and appreciated his music, I've found that as I've aged It's difficult to listen to his music without shedding a tear or two, it simply touches your soul. His music can touch anyone, of any age, however, I feel those of us who lived through the 70's have a special connection to both the man and his music.

I was told by Ingrid Croce that "Time in a Bottle" was a love song that Jim wrote for his son, A.J. I had always loved that song, and when I learned the backstory, it was an awesome and tender revelation. God bless the Croces!

I was devastated when Jim and Murray died in that crash. I was really looking forward to whatever else they had to share with us all. Jim Croche touched my life when I was a young teenager going through parental abuse and my Dad’s alcoholism. I love hearing his songs and they still bring me comfort 50 years later.

I dedicated Time in a bottle to my oldest brother after he lost of a a heart attack do to drugs. This song takes my back!

I live around the corner from that farmhouse. The state of PA put up a historical marker to mark the spot. I had no idea so much musical history took place at that little unassuming farm house.

I remember vividly the radio announcement the Jim Croce died in a plane crash. This hit me so hard because he was by far one of my all time favorite singers in 1973!! I was 18 years old. Jim Croce needs to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!! So glad his son is playing and singing his fathers music! Just the other day I walked the isles of the grocery store with Leroy Brown playing over the speakers of the store. In every isle customers were humming, whistling, and openly singing along with the music. After 50 years, Jim Croce’s music and his legacy lives on.

Oh man, I loved Jim Croce (still do). When I was a sophomore in HS a classmate and I did a multimedia (1976 technology) presentation about him for a language arts project. We got an A and everyone loved the presentation because everyone loved Jim Croce. His death was a couple of years or so prior. What a loss.

A true legend and his partner, the late Maury Muehleisen, created songs that have stood the test of time. So glad AJ is keeping the legacy alive while creating his own musical journey.

Dear AJ, Just another number one fan of your Dad's. writing to tell you that I've always loved his music, his voice, his gentle soul, and everything that made Jim Croce what he was. I'm 64 now, so we're talking about 50+ years of listening to him, caring about him, and grieving the day that we tragically lost him. I was in shock and disbelief for a very long time before I could actually believe that he was gone. Simply devastated, and cried for a long time. I say this to you because I think it's important for you to hear from real people who really loved your Dad and have great admiration for him as a musical artist, and the beautiful person that he was. It must have been so hard for you as a very young boy, then emotionally having to sort things out as you grew up. I'm glad that you feel connected and want to grace us with his music, and your own. I'm sure that he's looking down upon you and feels very proud of the man you've become. I don't have any momentos of Dad, but I truly wish I did. I still listen to him all the time. Even though I love all of his songs, I particularly love "Operator" and "Time in a bottle." As a teenager in the 70's, I fell in love with Jim Croce's hauntingly melodic voice. When he suddenly passed away, it affected me deeply as his beautiful music was still so alive. A.J., watching this and hearing your voice singing your dad's songs was a full circle moment for me and I thank you for that. I am glad that you have come around to performing your father's music. I was blessed to see him live at Big Surf in Tempe Arizona. Such a brilliant talent; his light went out way too early. Didn’t know he had a son ..and what an inspiration he is❤️.

Time in a Bottle came out at the time my mother was dying, just before I turned two. For the past 50 years whenever I've heard it I imagined how my father (and mother, I guess, if the timing was right) must have felt every time it came on the radio, surely wishing he could save time in a bottle and spend it with his wife for eternity. I had no idea Jim wrote it for his wife & AJ, who was also not quite two when Jim died. I know he didn't mean it the same way, but wow, what a connection. I'm so thankful that people like Jim & AJ Croce share themselves with the world... they help us all feel our lives. Thank you, AJ (and your father).

I was 13 when Jim Croce died. I went to bed and sobbed into my pillow. His music was such a wonderful escape for me, given the turn my own childhood had taken. Such a marvelous talent taken at his prime. Good to see A.J. honoring his legacy - and Time in a Bottle is my special favorite too.

Wow. This really brings back some memories. I was in 7th grade and my Social Studies teacher was a musician and a HUGE Jim Croce fan. Mr. would bring his guitar to class and sometimes during class and often after school he would sing for us. When Jim Croce died the fall of my 8th grade year, Mr. was devastated and many of my classmates were too because we loved our teacher and thru him loved Jim Croce. I'm really happy to hear AJ is singing the songs.

Since I was born in 1991, I did not know the whole story of Jim Croce. I love his music and the lyrics are amazing. I am so sorry for what AJ has to endure during his young life. The fact that a man beat him so badly that he lost his eyesight is horrifying. AJ, looks exactly like his dad, and took all the good from Jim's spirit. My father served 2 tours in vietnam in 1965 and 1970. My first memories of my father are him playing his acoustic guitar and singing Jim Croce Songs. He loved Jim Croce and continued playing his songs long after Jim Croce died. My father passed away in 2012 after an 8 year battle with ALS which was attributed to his exposure to agent orange while serving in Vietnam. Whenever I hear a Jim Croce song I become a little girl again listening to her daddy sing and play his guitar. He was my hero and these songs were the backdrop of my childhood. I’m so glad A.J. Is carrying on his father’s legacy and I can’t imagine how proud his father would have been knowing what an amazing man A.J. Turned out to be.

Holy cow - I just had a flashback to my teens! Back in the early 70's when I was a young boy in school studying music I fell in love with Jim Croce and couldn't wait for the next delivery from the Columbia House music club with my new Jim Croce album! (Google it kids, because you'd be amazed at what we used to go through to listen to music!). When I heard he was just killed in a plane crash I was 14 years old and absolutely devastated. Man I loved his music! Now everytime I hear a Jim Croce song on the radio I'm transported back to that time in my life when his music so heavily influenced me and made me a better person. And it still brings a tear to my eye! I'm so glad A.J. followed in his dad's footsteps. Great talent definitely runs in his family!

Your father’s song Time in a bottle, always made me think of my husband, after he passed , I couldn’t listen to it without crying. So it was a few years before I could listen to it again. I first heard it when I was in my twenties when my Boyfriend gave me a tape, he became my husband.
