So my theory is that she's dead. I know "she was dead the whole time" is an overdone theory but hear me out. At the start she wakes up in the same place and position as she was at the end. She walks back to a house where there's what looks like a funeral- everyone is in black, there's funeral wreaths and flowers. Said funeral turns into a hipster rave later but whatever, artistic licence. She varies between attempts at physical intimacy and being violently disruptive. Why? Because she desperately wants to connect with the world of the living but she can't, because she's not supposed to be there. At the end she's collapsed on the road and she's back where she started, and Misty (who is barefoot, this traditionally being a signifier of Death) forcibly takes her away. It's not a perfect theory but I think it matches up.

There was a time in my life when I was a crazy underage club kid and acted similar to wild-Aubrey Plaza. Very lucky to have never picked up and diseases or physical illnesses (nobody could've gone through what I did without picking up a few mental ones, though). Very lucky to be alive, tbh. This video reminds me of that time and makes me glad it's over.
