I feel good mothers are far more taken for granted, especially socially. Men just need to change a diaper to be considered an involved and good dad in societies eyes. Women have to do everything perfectly with constant shifting advice, and hold down a job amd a man at the same time to he considered passable as a mom.

Because women are most likely the parent that stayed and tried to raise you the best way they could. So many fatherless friends growing up its ridiculous. Fathers Day is for real Fathers who are in their childs life 24/7, not a baby daddy who send money every couple months, or come by only on holidays to take photos....😮Thats why Mothers Day is second in best holidays celebrated.

My mom is always there for me. My dad never accepted nor appreciated anything on his birthday or Father's Day growing up. At some point, you stop trying. You can say it's because he doesn't know how to accept it, but that doesn't make it right to make a kid think their dad doesn't appreciate the time and effort it took to prepare a meal or dessert for you. Also, number one holiday is independence day.

I disagree, like don’t get me wrong there’s too many shitty father’s out there.HOWEVER, too many people can’t admit that their mothers are terrible or just incompetent. They can’t admit that they are partially at fault for the broken home they were raised in. I imagine it’s a psychological thing because their mothers did stay but just because your mom stayed doesn’t mean she’s automatically the better parent. I totally understand the difficulty in admitting to yourself that both your parents screwed up but the energy is not kept the same. Shitty Father’s get cut off but shitty mothers get put up with. I honestly don’t think it’s right but it’s easier to say “ hey call your mom out on her bs” than to actually do it. So I’m sympathetic to the dilemma.

Mothers are not aloud to abandon our children as many men do, even men that doesn’t still don’t have a connection until a woman show them how too raise and take care of a baby. The woman that abandon they children in society are even held more condemned then a man that abandon they child. I think every father deep down inside knows why he’s saying what he’s saying not including single fathers that lost the mom due to child birth or drugs

My parents have been married for 67 years now (yes, they are still alive). Mom stayed home to raise her babies, dad was off to work before we woke up. Later on in HS, we came home from after school practice and dad was still at work. Dad was a great financial supporter and mom a great disciplinarian. Both loved us unconditionally. By nature, we became closer to mom but love dad just the same. There is however more hoopla for Mother’s Day.

Really need to celebrate Fathers day better, lost my Dad 14 years ago, and he knew I love him and thankful but I didn't celebrate all the work he did for us very well like Mother's day, and I know he felt disappointed (only showed it once when I was in my 20s) but never made a big deal about it and loved us anyway...so all of you who still have your Fathers and don't celebrate him...try and do a better job then I did...many are very special and self sacrificing

Father's don't have to conceive, grow, birth, and breast feed a piece of their own soul just for it to turn around and leave you
@ConnivingBones
@ConnivingBones Жыл бұрын
We do have part in conception(it takes 2). Additionally we have to provide the cost of emotional and financial care for our pregnant partners and children until death to include healthcare and as joyful a lifestyle as we can. We have to be MEN for our family not just fathers. We have to dedicate our entire being, not just our soul, for the rest of our lives to support our partner and children. We sacrifice our backs and our sanity to keep up with it. We have to be the handyman, the romantic, spontaneous, handsome, funny, strong, tall, intellectual, the mechanic, make good money, etc. The moment we falter on any of those we are shunned while most women get a pass when they don’t hold up their end. We get no empathy for failure. We get little to no recognition for all of it. Then we end up in a nursing home while mom goes to live with the very kids dad spent his life supporting. Don’t even get me started on how one sided the law and marriage is against fathers. Most men with grown kids would, as you put it “just have to give birth and breast feed” if it meant they were provided for and had little responsibilities beyond that. Your blanket statement is offensive to me as a father!

@@meganbarber3599there's plenty of kids who are not. Why are you taking your worst interpetation of a group to paint the whole group? Kids are 4 times more likely to be abused in single mother households than single father households. That would make this number relevant to absent fathers you appeal to. Do you use this to crap on all mothers?

@@meganbarber3599 Does this include adoption and abortion? If two people develop a long relationship, make the decision to move in, marriage, kids etc. the father is unlikely to walk out. The average man would not walk out on kids he knowingly had, and there's a reason the ones that do are called deadbeats. Many single mothers don't even know the names of the men who are the fathers of their children. Men don't control who women have sex with.

Do you think ALL kids are fatherless like you? Since you're generalizing why not go the extra mile and make it racial? This has nothing to do with the reason anyways. Men's day is the same way and men contribute greatly to society. I'm sure talking about how men and dads are worthless will reach you to what is totally your goal though.
