David Coverdale also started Whitesnake in the late 70's . Early Whitesnake was kick ads blues rock until Coverdale jumped on the Hair band Bandwagon and hired a completely new band. Early snake all the way. Check" Saints and Sinners" !!

@@rickwelch8464 Hey Rick, Slow and Easy (84) is actually the.exact same band that recorded the 87 album. John Sykes guitar etc. Coverdale hired the more none personalities for the Videos. Tour and following album. The last album with the original band that began in the late 70's is " Saints & Sinners" (82) with the original versions of " Here I Go Again" & " Crying In The Rain". They were originally a more blues rock band.

You probably also know ''Here i go again'' from Whitesnake (same album, actually they are songs #3 and #4 on the album). Here i go again is everywhere.. in commercials on TV, and was sooooooo overplayed on the radio. :) Hairband 80s day? that'd be great. How about.. Ratt - Wanted man, Cinderella - Shake me, Kiss - Who wants to be lonely, Tesla - Modern day cowboy, Dokken - Into the fire. :)

Killer tune from the 80's. Whitesnake had a ton of songs, and music videos. That's singer David Coverdale of Deep Purple fame. He cowrote this with bandmate and lead guitarist John Sykes. "Fool For Your Loving", and "Here I Go Again", are just 2 to name from Whitesnake. Have a good day, Larry and Ethan.🎸❤

Ratt - Round and Round, Billy Idol - Rebel Yell, Def Leppard - Photograph, Bon Jovi - Runaway, Bryan Adams - Summer of 69, Elton John - I'm Still Standin, Huey Lewis and the News - The Heart of Rock and Roll, and quite a few more but those are the ones that came to mind. I'm a little bit familiar with Whitesnake, formed 1978 in London as a backing band for ex-Deep Purple singer David Coverdale. Not conscious of hearing this particular song before, but I certainly enjoyed it. Very nice reaction, as always. You asked for '80s hard rock songs, so I've raided the '80s folders in my music diary to see what loudness is there: 1980 - Saxon - 747 (Strangers In The Night) 1980 - Yes - Into The Lens 1982 - Asia - Soul Survivor 1982 - Cheap Trick - If You Want My Love 1986 - Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer 1986 - Europe - The Final Countdown 1987 - Yes - Love Will Find A Way 1987 - The Damned - In Dulce Decorum

Incidentally, I've been reading some good Agatha Christie this week - mystery fiction, of course .......i came across an interesting statistic : Agatha Christie is the third biggest selling author of all time! Also, fun fact, they WERE in the 80s as in, their heyday. But theyre actually from late 70s.. Coverdale came out of Purple and formed Whitesnake with the HIGE help of purole keyboardist and drummet ian paice. So they gave him a bump start w his solo career. Whitesnaje i think took off big mainstream adyer like 82 or 3 Anywho, oldschool romantic sexy metal. Sure bit hair. But the usual hairbands had little musician top talent. Just singalongy pop. Not this n the like Edit: the point of this 2nd post was bc sob said they were 80s. No theyre late 70s n thru 80s were seen by the motley crues n poisons as older guys.

Ah yeah this is a good one! Coverdale "was" lead singer for Deep Purple & has been the only constant member of Whitesnake since they formed in '78. Another great one of theirs is "Here I go again" .. warrants reactions from y'all. To list a few hair band 80's hits: 1) Pour some sugar on me - Def Leppard; 2) You give love a bad name - Bon Jovi; 3) I wanna rock - Twisted Sister; 4) I remember you - Skid Row; 5) Every rose has its thorn - Poison. There's a few to start y'all up .. lol. B safe & well Ethan & Larry .. and yes Ethan that song does "Rock" .. after all it's ROCK & ROLL baby..wink. luv u guys .. peace✌🏼❣️😊

Thanks Ramona! Yup we are pretty familiar with Skid Row. My dads best friend is good friends with them so we got to hang out with them before. We are huge fans of them. -S

You want a few great 80's, hard-rock songs? Here are several (in no particular order): "Balls To The Wall" (Accept,) "China White" (Scorpions,) "New Girl Now" (Honeymoon Suite,) "Heaven Sent" (Dokken,) "Give Me Your Love" (The Babys,) "Sign Of The Southern Cross" (Black Sabbath,) "Long Way To Love" (Britny Fox,) "Smooth Up In Ya" (Bullet Boys,) "Nobody's Fool" (Cinderella,) "In Dark Places" (Crimson Glory,) "Edie (Ciao Baby)" (The Cult,) "Architect Of Pain" (Exodus,) "Feel The Shake" (Jetboy,) "I Hate Myself For Loving You" (Joan Jett And The Blackhearts.) You should definitely give each of those a listen, in case you don't decide to react to that particular song.

You guys should check out some all girl outfits. Fanny (Blind Alley is great), Birtha, both groundbreakers from the early 70s, Girlschool (did a great collab with Motorhead) and The Amorettes who are currently putting out good stuff.

Sense Son likes that guitar riff, you guys should check out Pantera Cowboys From Hell. Not sure if it's late 80's or early 90's though. But the guitar riff is amazing

Thanks for sharing the video. You posted it before I subscribed to the channel. Ok, so you talked about how they reminded you of Skid Row. Pantera was a band that was a bridge between 80's hair metal and 90's metal. Their style changed throughout their career. If you haven't reacted to Pantera Cemetery Gates yet, I highly recommend that song. Its their most 80's sounding song. Its 80's sounding like Metallica is 80's. But with a surprising hair band influence at the end of the song in the vocals

Everbody in the band except the drummer didn't actually play on this album! Cloverdale fired his band and brought in a new lineup just as they were about to tour!
