That’s pretty interesting to see that Slender offered to take the man with him. It makes me wonder if Slender has a little bit of a heart, only killing if agitated or seeing no reason not to.

Nah, it doesn't have a heart. If someone knows of its existence, it will stalk them. After a couple years it will take them. Not necessarily kill them, but they will disappear without a trace.

@@1FenFen1 Well, I don't think that's true considering how the protagonist of the film knew of Slender's existence for over 41 years and even hunted it. From the looks of it, Slender didn't even intend to take the man, it just came to destroy his research.

@@anapple3445 Eh, 40 years IS a little over "a couple". But it still works I guess. I just know Slenderman doesn't necessarily kill but makes them "disappear" after years of stalking But this WAS 2013, only a couple years after slendermans creation. So its abilities and characteristics were still being established I guess

This guy must have been something special. Not only does Slendy spare him twice, when usually only proxies are ever allowed to survive at all, but he then gets invited to join his sister? His zeal must have impressed Slendy a great deal.

Of course it did. Forty-one years of searching for his sister and never giving her up, even saying to Slenderman's face that he doesn't care if he understands, and that he just wants her back. I don't think Slenderman ever faced someone like that.

actza54 My point exactly. Slendy spared this guy twice, then apparently offered to take him wherever it is the children go. Sure, we will not see this man on Earth again, but the implication was clear: Slendy understood what he wanted, and decided to give it to him. Scary as it is to consider, this is easily the most benevolent thing the Slender Man has ever done.

God I remember watching this when I was younger and always debating to myself to how he's not real even though I was still scared he was. I think what makes slenderman so brilliant is the fact that he appears at perfect moments when you're alone, feeling hopeless then just to see a tall slender man to send you to the afterlife so pretty much, slenderman really invokes your fear or sense of isolation.

This is by far, the BEST Slender Man short film I've EVER SEEN! MAKE A MOVIE OUT OF THIS!! It's also the most interesting, plus Slender Man in this was creepy, especially how he twitches, fades, and behaves; it's all creepy but awesome in its own way.

This is quite possibly one of the greatest Slenderman short films I have ever seen to date. The way this was filmed is brilliant, i really like the eerie foggy setting. The way Slenderman was portrayed here is excellent, the nature of him was captured perfectly with keeping to the original concept with a few great original traits to him that had more to his character and make him seem more believable and scary. The acting was also very well done, if an official Slenderman movie where to ever be made, I would love to see you guys do it.

Man, I wish these guys got the funding to make the movie, this is the perfect depiction of it. So ambiguous you can't even tell if it's benevolent of maleficent. People forget the difference between horror and cosmic horror is who does the chasing

Very well done short film, and I think you captured the essence of Slenderman better than any other film I've seen. The only problem with the film at all was that at 4:16 You can't fire a musket rifle without having the hammer pulled back; it's just not possible. That one little problem aside, bang up job!

+Justin Dicted Thank you! And a very astute observation though sadly there was nothing we could've done. Because model muskets are extremely expensive this is actually a rubber gun we rented from a local prop shop so the hammer was fixed. It's a bummer, but this is also one of our oldest films now and we're getting better about those kinds of details. :) Really glad you liked the film!

Wow this was great! I've seen A LOT of amateur Slender movie attempts (cough cough WINDIGO cough), but THIS is the golden winner! Awesome acting, great effects, brilliant camera angles, and an awesome execution of a Slender story. It looked completely professional! Awesome job my friends! Like and Subscribed!

Gosh.....i remember when there was a huge craze about slenderman. Marble hornets, fathom, slender the eight pages, slender the arrival etc. I remember being so scared of slenderman. I always tought that slenderman would come to take me in the woods with his proxies lol. So nostalgic...

Absolutely loved everything in this film. The sound was great, the effects were great, the actors were great. Slender-man moved sorta goofy but just realistic enough that to make you think it was a living creature. Best thing about it was the ending though. Fully expecting Slender to kill the dude. Film shows great love for the character and it was absolutely epic.
