I absolutely love these! I am curious though... I am always careful about copyright infringements (in my usual works I don't have to worry about it) and I am wondering if it is ok to use old book pages, magazine photos, etc. when creating these TO SELL?

The true blue to use for Cyanotype is Prussian Blue. "Cyan" is just another word for blue, but to really mimic cyanotype, it's pretty easy to find Prussian Blue.

I find it DOES make a difference what kind of brayer you use. I have three - an ArtDeco/Plaid (cheap) an old Ranger (also cheap) and a Speedball, a few dollars more but well worth it. The Speedball works best by far. Because the roller is heavier, it spreads paint more evenly and over a wider surface. That means you need less paint and get better prints.

It seems odd to make fake cyanotypes when making cyanotypes is a simple process using sunlight and water. There's no cleanup or ink involved. 🐧💙🐧

Sunlight and water and ferric ammonium citrate or ferric ammonium oxalate, and potassium ferricyanide. You don't get blue with sunlight and water. And you do have to clean up...at least rinse the paper or fabric to remove the chemicals from the shaded part.
