Hey everyone! Haven't looked at this video in years. I'm the person who made it. I had no idea it has been viewed millions of times. No idea how that happened. Glad you all seem to like the work. I did this work for over 20 years and still do some though I'm mostly retired now. All the work was done in 3D Studio in the usual way . No special software, just a lot of careful work and attention to every detail.

@gabrielandy92729 жыл бұрын
this is a animation, not real time rendered random with scripts so is not more realistic because its a animation........... is not two car free walking in the room with X speed, and the accident happening with scripts that check impacts, is a PRE-MADE Animation, so is not more realistic than beamng, you can't compare pre-render with real time because are different, is like sayng that the cutcenes in ps1/ps2 are more realisitc than a ps3 game even because cutcene is a video FILE some games in ps2 have action movie/filmed with real people, and other are animations with high quality like final fantasy, but is just a VIDEO file you can't compare that things are completly differente even if is in a computer.... sorry if i appear rude i don't have a good english

Clearly people in the comment section don’t understand what these clips in the video are for. They are made for court cases to demonstrate and represent accidents that happen. I don’t see why almost everyone here is comparing them to video games. These are based off real crashes and scenarios that are sent to the jury and certain people.

Wow, some of these a pretty bad. I'm amazed at how few people seem to wear seat belts in these things. In alot of them the people probably would have survived if they had warn their safety belts. The older cars also smash much worse then a lot of the newer ones, at least 4 star safety ratings should be mandatory in order to even sell a car. That should include rollover tests. I'm quite amazed to see US is 12.3 per 100,000 per year, worse than India's 11.1, considerably worse than Switzerland's 4.7 which is surprisingly worse than the UK's 3.59. Accident reconstruction is usually conducted with a combination of photography, photogrammetry, laser scanning, and total station survey techniques (which provide sub-mm accuracy). What is shown here may not be *exactly* how the crash occurred, but is based on the best available in-situ evidence at the time of the investigation. And yes, as a Jeep owner the fiberglass hardtop would result in little protection in the accident. The accident here may have unfortunately resulted in the decapitation of the driver. Jeeps are made for a lot of things, unfortunately crashing is not one of them. Interesting work.
