Hello everyone, welcome to my channel Bibbidi Bobbidi Books. My name is Ellie and today I thought it would be fun to upload a video about my top 10 fairytale retellings (or fairytale-like books). I think these are the perfect cosy reads to snuggle up with this Autumn.

Thank you Ellie! You have two of my favourite books on here : Daughter of the Forest and Ocean at the End of the Lane. Also lots that sound intreaguing. I can't wait to read Nettle and Bone! I would recommend Angela Slatter. She has some short story collections that are amazing the! The one I have read is called Sourdough and other stories. She has also written some novels, one that I read recently and loved was All the Murmering Bones, a bit gothic and creapy and so good. Also her novella Of Sorrow and Such is fantastic and really reminds me of Juliet Marrillier.

Their books sound right up my street!! "Sourdough and other stories" is such a great title! Ohh if "Of Sorrow and Such" is like Julliet Marillier, I'm sure i will love it! 🧡

I just did my Top 5 Fairy Tale/Modern Fantasy books this week, too! It must be the fall air... 🍂🎃😊Some overlapping root fairy tales, too! (Children of Lir...)

The first Sevenwaters trilogy is so good! (The second trilogy is on my shelf awaiting my attention.) I've mentioned it before, but many years ago I read "Till We Have Faces" by C.S. Lewis, which is a retelling of the classical myth of Cupid and Psyche, and I loved it at that time.

I have read a few books by Juliet Marillier and LOVE her work. I do have a copy of Daughter of the Forest and have not picked it up yet....thank you for reminding me.
