@@thatoneguy2288 Psalm 2 is one of the many Imprecatory chapters of the book of Psalms. It talks about the consequences of the nations that forget God and go against him. The verses before said this: Psalms 2:1-7 (KJV) "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." King David is a prophetic symbolisn of Jesus Christ indicating in verse 7. The chapter reminds us how important it is for people to serve the living God. Psalms 9:17 (KJV) "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."

I love the cinematography in this. The music starts off rather peacefully, when Anderson recites the bible verse. But as we see him approach behind Maxwell, the music turns darker and ominous, portraying Anderson as the absolute calamity that he is ! SERVE THE LORD WITH FEAR AND REJOICE WITH TREMBLING. Phenomenal Scene

@@ThePaeppa Nope, that's St Peter's cross: Peter was crucified upside down because he felt unworthy of dying in the same way as Christ did. That says that Alucard, just like Peter who denied God 3 times, he turned his back against God by turning into a vampire. He feels unworthy of living and longs to be slain at the hands of a mortal. In fact, Alucard shares parallels with St Peter: Both are fervent christians who did what they did in the service of God, only to become mockeries of Him.

Wow. Team Four Star managed to keep the feeling of the original while shortening Anderson's line. Just a few cuts and a slight addition of one line, and it manages to be so faithful, while still keeping the playful parody spirit.

There's a reason this is the most underrated anime out there. The way it creates intensity between enemies and it's not just build up, the battle scenes are some of the best ever. And of course alucard is an incredible character. By far my favorite action anime ever.

@@ryanmcallister2321 I think is really beautifully the way that alot of the show is kept kind of a mystery. Just the full extent of alucards power. I can be a bit confusing or overwhelming the first time you watch it. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

I dont really see how that anime is underrated at all. Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate both had world wide dubbed tv screenings, and that in the early 2000s, where there were not that many animes to get dubbed at all. So IMO Hellsing was as mainstream as an anime can get in the west. well deserved obviously. The only difference to current main stream animes is that its older and it didnt have an air time of a decade or so.

There's a lot of good, quotable lines in the book of Psalms: the one that Anderson quotes in this video, Psalm 2: 8, is definitely one of them. Actually, Psalm 2 in general is one of the few really badass psalms. It speaks of how all the enemies of Jerusalem are barreling down to try and take it over and Kind David's all like "Heathens?! Not in the holy land!"
