I Lauza/Michael, this video is very special to me, Arco de São Jorge, the birth place of my dear father who died back in 2004, towards the end of the video when you (Michael) said "thank you to the people who built and maintain that trail, I felt honoured to be the grandson and son of two men that were part of that group of people, although we lived in Funchal, but my parents always took us on holiday brakes to Arco de São Jorge, magical place! and Ponta do Sol near you in Ribeira Brava, where my mother as born. I've done that trail a couple of times, and as you said "although it looks frightening, but ACTUALY (Lauza!!!) is pretty good. Where you left the car, is just 2 minutes from where my grandparents house use to be.

Arco São Jorge is where we live. So happy you found our village! Also don’t show too many people the beautiful weather we have here. We try to tell everyone the north is cloudy so we can keep the nature and all the concrete buildings can be built in the “sunny” south hahah.

The Espatadas... a dream! 👍😀. Driving the old ER101 was really thrilling in the past, but now nearly impossible due to rockfall and officially blocked street. 😭

I remember doing this wonderful walk in the autumn of 2008 when I was the Saga Holidays representative at the Monte Mar Palace Hotel in Ponta Delgada. Exhilarating and very rewarding!

Beautiful. We visited Madeira in 2012 and plan to go again next year. I'm on the lookout for hikes that people can do that suffer from a fear of heights/vertigo. This seems to be a good choice.

Such a delight to watch another superb video from beautiful Madeira! Ive been to that restaurant you visited on my first trip to the Island back in 2007 and remember how I wondered people climbing up to the opposite mountain. On my second trip 2019 I wanted to re-visit but unfortunately I missed it by driving past the place in a bit of hurry. Now I know whats that place like, thank you so much :)
