The FBI identified the gunman who fired shots during former President Donald Trump's campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks. The FBI and federal law enforcement are searching the premises of the gunman's home in Pittsburgh, officials said.

And the police immediately communicated with the Secret Service, which immediately started tracking what was going on, but the shooting started before they could do anything. The Secret Service cannot just leave everything they are doing (in a venue full of people) to shoot at something faraway that someone told them looked odd. It could have been considered a distraction for a real attempt made from a shorter distance, isn't it? In that situation, what do you do?

It's because our secret service is really not the same as it was before 9/11. The worry too much about protecting the president in one way and not many ways. They simply follow orders, but to be honest never question them. One big example is when the witnesses saw the guy on the roof many police agents were alerted, but none cared to alert the secret service until one cop took it serious and did his job. In that moment the secret service had seen the gunman but it was too late and now the media is saying the secret service did its job. No!!! people of the media the secret service didn't implement drones, heli and other measures to protect former president, because they were too focused instead of relaxing take a step back and actually putting contingency plans in place.

But The divisiveness that persists in our culture IS ( at least in large part) the fault of the press. In fact, I find the press to be at greater fault for the hostility and division in our country more than political leaders themselves. Even the vitriol of politicians is spurned by the pot stirring and polemical gravity that the press exerts on culture. It may not be fair to point the finger at every individual press member ( some are more reasonable than others) but the institutions are guilty.
