Is it me or has hazel become less food defensive, she doesnt keep an eagle eye on you when shes eating as she used to. Chloe struttin her stuff makes me giggle. Your foxes have really settled down. Congratulations! Seems like Hazel being put in with the male has done the trick. All four of them seem less skittish and are not gobbling down their food so fast. I'm so pleased. Hopefully soon they will accept a bit of petting from you guys

I cant believe how much the foxes have mellowed and are getting way more use to each other and you and Gabby. Hazel definitely doesnt look as ferrel as when she first got there. The emos are getting so big!! I just love Osami!! I would love to see a video of her on a cuddle night inside the house with you two. I love the longer format videos. I know it's a ton of work and filming on top of what you have to do on a daily basis. You guys do so much for the animals. Above and beyond most. I try and donate when I can. I know it's not much but it's my way of saying thank you for your dedication to all of the animals in your care. I hate to think where or what would become all of them if they didnt have you guys. Your rockstars in my opinion!!!

Hazel is definitely the most cunning of the 4.. she may have had to fight for food and still holds on to that memory. A hungry belly is hard too forget!! The place is looking amazing. Oh my gosh, I'd forgot the ant lions! I grew up in Jacksonville - as kids we used to dig them out of their little traps with a stick and watch them dig themselves back in! I didn't know they turn into flies though; I thought that was the only form. I always learn something new from y'all!

The emus are getting huuuge, so funny to see. It's also cool to see that the foxes are muuch calmer now, maybe except Hasel who always seem to be literally all over the place, didn't know they climb like that. Also, I reminded that parrots eat clay at wild for toxic foods and for nutrients and it made me wonder do you have to give them clay as pets as well?

In undergrad we had this exchange student. He went with us on a 10 day field trip and SOMEBODY convinced him that he'd need this big ole knife and would have to hunt for food (and this kid was obsessed with food). On the first couple of night's he'd jump out of the van with the knife and cry "I will hunt ___ and cook it over the fire!! It will be delicious!" and take off into the woods. First it was a rabbit, then a snake, then I think the last one was a bear... never caught or ever saw anything (too loud). He also had a habit of saying "I kill you, and your roommate!" which was, he claimed, a cultural thing and we told him "oh, you threaten to beat them up here." That's Petunia's energy. Later we had to clarify "Up, Peter, not Off. That means something wildly different." 😂😅😂
