Jennifer is highly educated. I love how intellectually fluent she is in this interview.

how much was it, because I used to watch it on showtime but hasn't aired anymore....I wonder why. I really enjoyed the show. Anne Rice has a vivid imagination.

i dont know how anyone can tell she's half black (is she really or more like 1/5th) because she looks very white. white features. eyes, nose, lips, facial structure.

@hustlaus My mother is From New Orleansa, LA as well. Both my parents are lightskinned as am I, but my family go through light to dark skinned from both sides of my family. As far as I know, no one in my family treated each other in such a way, but there is a lot of hurt in this history. Thats why most of us dont talk about it. but itis a history that must be explored.

she's keeping in reference to the film she's referring to. It's not meant to be offensive. Similarly when referring to the Civil Rights Era, and the African American struggle prior to civil rights and human equality, "colored" was the standard term used for "black". Don't be so racially sensitive, not all reference to race is meant to offend or degrade.

I saw the movie and I'm from New Orleans. Unfortunately the lightskinned vs. darkskinned is the prejudice and bigotry that some blacks just don't talk about. I lived it. The funny thing about it is I'm brown skinned and my brother is light skinned. There are females who told me that I was too dark to date them and some who told my brother that he was too light to date them. That's sad that we allowed the other man to distort the beauty of our color diversity.

Nah...This has to be questioned...about JB and her roots. It aint none of anybody's business and all, but becuz she set herself up as a figure in Hollywood, she needa represent her AFRICAN-AMERICAN ties in at least ONE of her movies, cuz I've been followin this chick's catalouge (her 50+ movies) for some time now, and not once has she identified her characters (or apparently herself) as a black person. Halle Berry is weak, and I see JB as a stand up bi-racial person who can represent well.
