The primary bathroom featured in this webinar has many of the standard features you'd expect to see: shower enclosure, built-in tub, water closet, and double vanity. Our electric floor heating systems can all accommodate the footprint of this space while providing full coverage for maximum comfort. These examples are based on the most popular bathroom options: a wood subfloor and tile flooring with thinset.
TempZone Cable with Fixing Strips is the original floor heating system. Using plastic fixing strips secured to the subfloor, serpentine the cable around the notches every three nodules for even heating and spacing. While the installation can take some time, this option is very budget-friendly and ideal for unusually shaped spaces.
TempZone Cable with Prodeso Uncoupling Membrane is ideal for tile floors that need structural support. The membrane offers uncoupling, vapor management, crack mitigation, and waterproofing benefits for the floor. On top of the membrane, nodules help hold the heating cable in place for even heating that can be customized to the heating footprint of the room. This option is ideal for rooms with subfloor issues and can help speed up the installation process to a single day if needed.
TempZone Flex Roll is arguably the most popular option for heating bathrooms. A pre-spaced heating cable is attached to a flexible fiberglass mesh, which can be cut and turned to fill up the footprint of the floor (cut mesh only, never the heating element). The rolls come in various sizes and lengths, making finding the right product for your project easy.
TempZone Easy Mat is very similar to our flex rolls, only smaller and designed for targeted spot heating. The mats come in several sizes designed to be installed as is to provide warmth for high-traffic areas such as next to tubs, showers or in front of vanities. It's recommended that if more than two easy mats are needed, you may want to consider switching to our flex roll product for easier installation and electrical connection at the thermostat.
TempZone Custom Mat is a one-of-a-kind system designed specifically for your project. We customize a heating mat for your heating area so you can simply unroll and install with full coverage. While these are custom, they are non-returnable, so it's important to be accurate in reporting the dimensions of the space when ordering.
